TVS Motor has revised prices across several models, with the Orbiter V2 getting the biggest hike while the Ntorq 125 becomes more affordable
TVS Motor Company has revised the prices of most of their portfolio in India with the start of August. While most of the popular models have become more expensive, there is one rather interesting exception. The TVS Ntorq 125 has actually received a price cut, making the sporty 125cc scooter more attractive at a time when buyers are becoming increasingly sensitive to price.
The biggest increase is seen on the TVS Orbiter V2, which is now Rs 13,580 more expensive. Its new ex-showroom price stands at Rs 1,18,480. The Orbiter V1, meanwhile, has received a Rs 7,000 increase. This is a fairly substantial revision for an electric scooter and could make the price gap between TVS’ different EV offerings worth looking at before making a purchase.
The TVS iQube has also become more expensive, although the extent of the hike varies depending on the variant. The entry-level 2.2 kWh version gets a relatively small Rs 500 increase, while the top-spec ST 5.3 kWh variant sees a much steeper Rs 10,400 hike. The latter now costs Rs 1,72,384, ex-showroom.

TVS has also increased prices for its popular Jupiter range. The Jupiter 110 sees an increase ranging from Rs 575 to Rs 1,950 depending on the variant, while the Jupiter 125 gets a hike of up to Rs 2,410. The Raider 125 motorcycle has also been affected, with prices going up by between Rs 550 and Rs 1,320 depending on the variant.
And then there is the Ntorq 125, which has gone in completely the opposite direction. TVS has reduced the prices of the scooter by up to Rs 1,650. The Ntorq 125 Disc is now priced at Rs 83,350, while the range-topping XT variant costs Rs 1,01,500, both ex-showroom. The price cut is particularly interesting because the Ntorq continues to be positioned as a sporty alternative to more conventional 125 cc family scooters.

For buyers, then, the August price revision makes TVS’ portfolio a mixed bag. Some scooters and motorcycles have become noticeably more expensive, with the Orbiter V2 taking the biggest hit, while the Ntorq has received a welcome price reduction. With the festive season approaching, the timing is interesting.
