Hero Vida VX2, Dirt.E K3 Launched in Nepal – Details

Both the Vida VX2 electric scooter range and Dirt.E K3 electric bike will be retailed by the CG Motors (Chaudhary Group) in Nepal

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Vida VX2 electric scooter and Dirt.E K3 electric off-roader bike in Nepal. Both these models will be sold by the CG Motors (Chaudhary Group), which already has a vast network of more than 160 companies and 123 brands worldwide. The launch of the all-electric Vida scooters and bikes took place in the august presence of Mrs. Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, and Mr. Nirvana Chaudhary, Managing Director, Chaudhary Group.

Commenting on the milestone, Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, said, “This launch marks a proud and defining moment as VIDA goes global. Vida VX2 Electric Scooter

The Vida VX2 e-scooter has been presented in two variants namely Plus and Go. The former is offered with a 4.4 kWh setup (featuring dual 2.2 kWh removable battery units) which returns a maximum real-world range of 140 km, while the latter is powered by a 2.2 kWh removable battery which delivers a 75 km real world range. The portable batteries of both the variants can be easily charged at home via a standard 5A socket.

The Vida VX2 Plus has a top speed of 90 kmph while it takes 3.1 secs for a 0-40 kmph sprint. In addition, it is compatible with DC fast-charging with the 0–80 percent charge achievable in just 65 minutes. On the other hand, Vida VX2 Go has a top speed of 70 kmph while taking 4.2 secs for the 0–40 kmph acceleration. It also supports DC fast charging as it takes merely 65-minutes for a 0–80 percent battery juice up.

Vida Dirt.E K3 Electric Bike

The Dirt.E K3 electric off-roader bike has been developed specifically for young riders. It features a three-size adaptive system which can transforms across small, medium, and large configurations. The electric bike has a robust app-based parental controls that allows adults to manage acceleration and enforce top speed limits. Hero MotoCorp has been active in the Nepalese market since 2014 with several of its ICE-powered popular motorcycles and scooter on sale.

This app-based mechanism also allows the parents to securely lock the bike into either of the three distinct speed tiers: Mode 1 (8–9 kmph), Mode 2 (17–18 kmph), and Mode 3 (23–24 kmph). Powered by a 350W motor paired with a 360Wh removable battery, the Vida Dirt.E K3 offers up to 3 hours of riding time, depending on terrain & mode, and charges from 20–80 percent in approximately 2 hours.
