3 Upcoming TVS 2Ws Expected In India – Apache RR 450 To Jupiter CNG

TVS Motor is preparing to expand its portfolio with three important launches, including the much-awaited Apache RR 450, Apache RTR 450 and the Jupiter CNG

TVS Motor has had a busy couple of years, from expanding its electric vehicle portfolio to strengthening the Apache range with the RTX 300. The Hosur-based manufacturer has managed to stay in the spotlight. The company isn’t slowing down either, as it has several exciting products lined up for the Indian market. Here’s a look at three TVS two-wheelers that are expected to arrive over the next couple of years.

1. TVS Apache RR 450

The Apache RR 450 is easily one of the most awaited motorcycles from TVS. It is expected to be powered by the new 450 cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine that recently made its debut in the BMW F 450 GS. The fully faired sports bike is likely to sit above the Apache RR 310 and will target enthusiasts seeking more performance without stepping into the middleweight segment. Expect premium hardware, electronic rider aids and sharper styling inspired by TVS’ racing programme.

2. TVS Apache RTR 450

TVS is also expected to introduce a naked version of the same motorcycle. Likely to be called the Apache RTR 450, it could share most of its mechanicals with the RR 450 while getting an upright riding position and streetfighter styling. This strategy has worked well for manufacturers like KTM with the Duke and RC range, and TVS could adopt a similar approach to appeal to a wider audience. If priced right, the RTR 450 could become an interesting alternative to motorcycles like the KTM 390 Duke and Triumph Speed 400.

3. TVS Jupiter CNG

Alternative fuels are slowly finding their way into the two-wheeler space and TVS doesn’t want to be left behind. The company has already showcased the Jupiter CNG, giving us a glimpse of what could become India’s first production CNG scooter. It promises significantly lower running costs and also eliminates the dependency on the ethanol-blended fuels. With CNG infrastructure steadily improving across several cities, the Jupiter CNG could find plenty of takers among daily commuters.

TVS has shown that it isn’t afraid to experiment with new technologies while continuing to invest in performance motorcycles. A bigger Apache has been on enthusiasts’ wish lists for years, while a factory-built CNG scooter could open up an entirely new segment. These upcoming launches also indicate that the company is looking beyond conventional petrol-powered commuters.

The next 12 to 24 months could be quite exciting for TVS. Whether you’re waiting for a faired sports bike, a muscular streetfighter, or an economical city scooter, the brand seems to have something in the pipeline. If all goes according to plan, TVS could further strengthen its position across multiple segments in the Indian two-wheeler market.
