The upcoming mass-market electric scooter will be unveiled at the 2026 Ather Community Day in Bengaluru as it goes on sale in the subsequent months

Ather EL01, the brand’s first mass-market family electric scooter, will be unveiled on Aug 29, 2026 in the Indian market. Based on the EL platform, it is likely to be priced between Rs 1.05-1.15 lakh (ex-showroom) in our country. The 2026 Ather Community Day in Bengaluru has been themed as “A New Dawn of Magic” where the EL01 will make its first public appearance alongside new concepts, technologies and various other electric vehicles architectures. The company stated that more details regarding the Community Day 2026 will be announced in the coming weeks.

The all-new EL platform was showcased at the 2025 Ather Community Day along with the prototype of the EL01 low-cost electric scooter based on this platform. The Bengaluru-based pure EV brand had stated that the EL platform will spawn several new models of various body types which will include a maxi-scooter, family scooter and high-performance scooter.

Despite being a low-cost mass-market electric scooter, Ather EL01 will not be priced below Rs 1 lakh, confirmed Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, a few months back. He further went on to add that it will be priced lower than the current portfolio which has models like the Rizta and 450. For reference, Ather Rizta S, the brand’s entry-level e-scooter in India is sold at a price of Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
