Top 5 Electric Scooters Launched in H1 2026 in India

The first half of 2026 witnessed the launch of several new models in the electric scooter segment from the leading auto brands in India

The electric two-wheeler sales grew at an unprecedented 75 percent on a YoY basis in June 2026 with more than 1.93 lakh units sold last month in India. For the first time, the electric two-wheeler share entered double digits (10.60%) in the overall sales of two-wheelers in the Indian market. Several key brands such as Hero Vida, TVS and Ather sold a record number of EVs in the first half of this year. As we head into the second half of CY 2026, lets take a detailed look at the top 5 electric scooters launched in H1 2026 in India.

1. TVS Orbiter V1

Launched in Mar 2026 at Rs 84,500 (ex-showroom Delhi, inclusive of PM e-Drive), TVS Orbiter V1 is powered by a 1.8 kWh battery pack with an IDC range of 86 km on a full charge. It can also be availed with BaaS model at a relatively lower upfront price of Rs 49,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The electric scooter will take approx 2 hours and 20 minutes for a 0-80 percent charge. Some of the notable features onboard the e-scooter are LED headlamp with visor, coloured LCD cluster, incoming call display, and a connected mobile app. The Orbiter V1 comes with a 845 mm long flat-form seat, 290 mm straight-line footboard and 34L under-seat storage capacity.

2. Yamaha EC 06

The EC 06 e-scooter was launched at a price point of Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in Feb 2026 in the Indian market. It will be sold in select cities through the company’s premium Blue Square showrooms. Based on the River Indie, the EC-06 is being developed at River’s factory in Bengaluru.

It gets a plethora of bells and whistles in the form of Ride modes (Eco, Standard, and Power), Reverse mode, Front and rear disc brakes, Combi Brake System (CBS), LED headlights and taillights, 24.5L under-seat storage, and Coloured LCD display. Powered by an IP67 certified battery pack of 4 kWh, Yamaha EC 06 returns a range of 169 km on a single charge. The fixed battery is connected to an electric motor which generates 9 bhp and 26 Nm while ensuring top speed of 79 kmph.

3. Suzuki e-Access

Suzuki launched its first-ever electric scooter in the Indian market in the form of the e-Access in Jan 2026. Priced at Rs 1.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), it is being locally produced at the brand’s factory in Gurgaon, Haryana. The e-scooter comes with three ride modes (Eco, Ride A, and Ride B), a reverse mode and regenerative braking as standard.

Some of the prominent features onboard the e-Access include all-LED lighting setup, dual-tone alloy wheels, multi-function starter switch, and 17L underseat storage area. Suzuki e-Access is powered by a 3 kWh fixed LFP battery pack which returns a range of 95 km on a single charge. It can be charged at 240 DC fast chargers set up by Suzuki across the country. In addition, it can be charged via AC portable chargers at more than 1200 Suzuki dealerships in India.

4. 2026 Bajaj Chetak C 35 01

Bajaj Auto comprehensively updated its flagship electric scooter C 35 01 in Apr 2026. The latest updates included a new ‘C Series’ nomenclature, Google Maps navigation, top speed of 80 kmph (up from 73 kmph), 6.4 bhp of max power (up from 6 bhp), Ride modes (Sports and Eco), Hill Hold Assist, and Over the Air (OTA) updates.

Priced at Rs 1.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the 2026 Chetak C 35 01 comes loaded with a 3.5 kWh battery pack which delivers a range of up to 153 km on a single charge. The 0-80 percent charging time stands at 3 hours. Bajaj is offering a standard warranty of 3 years or first 50,000 km, whichever comes first. It can be availed in a total of five colour schemes namely Brooklyn Black, Hazelnut, Indigo Metallic, Matte Scarlett Red, Pista Green.

5. Hero Vida VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition

Launched during the IPL 19 in Mar 2026, it was presented in the jersey colours of Kolkata Knight Riders which are Knight Purple and Gold shade. On the purchase of the e-scooter, the customers were also given a limited-edition KKR helmet, which again was designed in the franchise’s signature colours.

The VX2 Plus KKR limited-edition was offered in a golden half-tone gradient with micro-dotted patterns, complimented by the pearl black body color. It flaunted three accent marks to symbolise the three championship titles won by Kolkata Knight Riders. Mechanically, the electric scooter remained unchanged as it featured the same 3.4 kWh battery pack, 142 km IDC range and 80 kmph top speed.
