Triumph Speed T4 Price Hiked by Rs 10,000 – Costs Rs 2.09 Lakh

The Speed T4 is the British brand’s entry-level motorcycle in India and it has become more expensive by Rs 14,000 in the last 45 days

Triumph Speed T4 price has been hiked by Rs 10,000 in the Indian market. This is the second upward price revision in consecutive months for the British brand’s entry-level motorcycle in our country. Just so you know, the company had increased the price from Rs 1.95 lakh to Rs 1.99 lakh in June 2026. And, now with this latest hike of Rs 10,000, Triumph Speed T4 will be sold at Rs 2.09 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Despite being equipped with a 350cc engine, it is now more expensive than the 400cc equipped model, which was recently discontinued due to the change in GST slabs.

Triumph Speed T4 is available in five colourways including the four dual-tone choices namely Caspian Blue + Pearl White, Lava Red Gloss + Pearl White, Phantom Black + Pearl White, and Phantom Black + Storm Grey. The single-tone Baja Orange colourway was the latest addition to the palette. Some other notable design elements include stripe pattern tyres, 3D Speed T4 badge, new frame colour and brushed steel finished exhaust.

Mechanically, the bike is powered by the newly-developed 350cc engine which churns out 28.6 bhp and 31 Nm as compared to the original 398cc single-cylinder engine which used to generate power output and torque delivery of 30.6 bhp and 36 Nm, respectively. Hence, as we can notice, the power and torque has been lowered by 2 bhp and 5 Nm. It has been equipped with 43 telescopic front forks, dual-channel ABS and slipper clutch as standard fitments.

During the ongoing price hike, the prices of the Scrambler 400 X and Tracker 400 have also been increased by Rs 6,000 and Rs 3,000, respectively. The Speed 400 too gets an upward revision in price by Rs 6,000 and will now be available at Rs 2.40 lakh. The Scrambler 400 XC and Thruxton 400 also see a rise in price by Rs 5,000 in our country.

The Union Govt, in Sep 2025, had cut the GST rates to 18 percent from the existing 28 percent on bikes with engine capacity below 350cc in the domestic market. This move generated immense buzz among the buyers as these motorcycles became subsequently cheaper and more accessible. However, the GST on two-wheelers with engine capacity above 350cc was raised from 28 percent to 40 percent, thereby making them more expensive than before.

Apart from the Bajaj Dominar 400 and Pulsar NS400Z, Triumph was affected the most due to this overhaul in the tax system by the Indian government. Even most models of KTM were also a victim of this exercise. Hence, Bajaj Auto had to take the bold decision of rolling out a downsized 350cc engine for all the bikes impacted by the GST hike to make them more accessible and affordable for the buyers.
