The Atlas and Atlas GT are being produced by TVS at its Hosur facility as it will be sold in India as well as shipped to various global markets
Norton Atlas has entered series production at TVS Motor Company’s manufacturing unit in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The first motorcycle was rolled out of the assembly line in the august presence of Dr. Sutapa Choudhary, British Deputy High Commissioner covering TN, Puducherry and Kerala, Mr. K. N Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO, TVS Motor Company and other dignitaries from British High Commission. The Atlas and Atlas GT will be globally launched next month as the initial units produced at Hosur facility will be used for exports.
Norton Atlas and Atlas GT will go on sale from Q3 FY27 in multiple global markets, including the UK. The India launch is likely to take place around Oct-Nov during the Diwali festive season later this year. TVS is adopting a similar production strategy with the Norton Atlas as it did with the BMW F 450 GS, with initial units being earmarked for exports. The F 450 GS, also produced at the Hosur factory by TVS, was launched in India nearly after 5 months of beginning of production.
Norton Atlas and Atlas GT had their world premieres at the EICMA 2025 in Italy. While the off-road specific Atlas comes with a 19-inch front wheel, the road-biased Atlas GT uses 17-inch wheels at both ends. Sharing a common platform, both the ADV bikes are powered by a 585cc parallel twin liquid-cooled engine which develops top power of 69 bhp at 9,300 rpm and peak torque of 57.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm.

Mr. K. N Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO, TVS Motor Company, said: “The first Atlas roll-out at Hosur is a proud moment – one that brings together the best of both Norton and TVS Motor Company: British design and engineering capability with Indian manufacturing excellence, and a shared commitment to quality for customers worldwide. Atlas takes Norton into a highly relevant global segment, and it does so as an unmistakable Norton.”
Designed and and engineered at Norton’s Solihull headquarters, Norton Atlas range sits on a lightweight steel trellis chassis while equipped with an array of premium and upmarket features in the form of five configurable rider modes, fully adjustable KYB suspension, cornering cruise control, an 8-inch TFT display and Norton Rider app connectivity. The Atlas and Atlas GT will be retailed via the TVS Paddock premium range of dealerships in India.

The Atlas and Atlas GT are being developed by TVS at Hosur facility as the Norton’s Solihull factory in the UK is producing the Manx R superbike at full capacity. Just so you know, Norton Manx R is the British brand’s flagship motorcycle and it will be launched in India as CBU in the coming couple of months. Recently, the global media rides of the superbike were concluded in Spain.
