Royal Enfield May 2026 Sales: Classic, Hunter, Bullet, Meteor

Royal Enfield fell short of retailing 1 lakh motorcycles in the domestic market in May 2026 as MoM sales of the entire portfolio declined

Royal Enfield sold 94,115 units in the Indian market in May 2026 as compared to 75,820 units in May 2025 with a YoY growth of 24 percent. However, unlike Mar 2026 and Apr 2026, it wasn’t able to breach the 1 lakh sales milestone last month. It also lost the title of India’s fifth largest two-wheeler brand to Suzuki which bounced back in style with domestic sales of 1.10 lakh units in May 2026. While Royal Enfield posted double-digit YoY growth, the sales of 350cc, 450cc and 650cc motorcycles declined by nearly 10 percent on a MoM basis.

Needless to mention, the Classic 350 was the highest-selling RE model in May 2026 with a YoY growth of 20.8 percent. The company retailed 34,594 units of the motorcycle last month as compared to 28,628 units in May 2025. Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been ruling the middleweight cruiser segment over the last several years. It has been the top-selling 350cc motorcycle in India despite having formidable rivals from key brands like Honda, Jawa and Bajaj.

The Bullet 350 was the second best-selling Royal Enfield bike last month with sales increasing from 17,279 units in May 2025 to 23,372 units in May 2026. It posted a healthy YoY growth of 35.3 percent. The Hunter 350 and Meteor 350 sales also grew by 27.8 percent and 8.6 percent, respectively, on a YoY basis. Hence, as we can see, the entire 350cc portfolio of the company achieved a double-digit YoY growth in May 2026.
