Developed in partnership with Chinese brand Jedi, Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser is likely to be limited to 15 units
Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser concept has been unveiled at the Brno bike show in Czech Republic. Tipping the weighing scale at around 240 kg, it has been presented with a twin-cylinder engine which could generate max power of 113 bhp. Developed in partnership with Chinese brand Jedi, the 1000 Sport Cruiser is likely to be limited to 15 units. The concept version showcased at the Brno bike show is reportedly a pre-production prototype which has been designed by Jan Hrbek – the guy famous for Jawa’s signature paint colour.
Though originally rolled out as a cruiser, Jawa 1000 Sport Cruiser gets multiple high-performance elements in the form of Brembo Stylema brake calipers and Ohlins suspension setup at front and rear. The exhaust pipe boasts of a unique Leo Vince end can while the engine features a 270-degree crankshaft layout. It is expected to carry a price tag of around £53,000 (Approx Rs 56 Lakh).
It is not yet confirmed when the concept will be readied into a full-fledged production model due to the highly unconventional design of the engine casings. The model showcased at the Brno bike show looks more of an early-stage, non-functional 3D-printed or clay styling prototype. Even if it makes to the production line, an India launch is highly unlikely due to the price tag it carries.
