Ather Rizta Price Hiked in India, Check Variant-Wise Breakdown

The family electric scooter has become more expensive by around Rs 3,000-4,000 in the Indian market, depending on the variant

Ather Energy has silently increased the prices of its most popular electric scooter, the Rizta, in the Indian market. Though the price hike is not substantial and is between Rs 3,000-4,000 only, it will be applicable on the entire variant line-up of the family e-scooter from June 1, 2026. Ather Rizta will now be available in a total of four variants namely S 2.9 kWh, Z 2.9 kWh, S 3.7 kWh, and Z 3.7 kWh in a price range of Rs 1.21-1.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The reason behind price hike is said to be rising production costs.

Recently, Ather Rizta surpassed the sales milestone of 3 lakh units within two years of its launch in the Indian market. The electric scooter reached the 1 lakh unit sales mark within 11 months of its launch while crossing 3 lakh units in the next 11 months. It accounted for 76 percent of Ather’s total sales volumes in FY26. The e-scooter was launched in Apr 2024 as the brand’s first family scooter.

The Rizta crossed the 2 lakh sales milestone in December 2025 and added the next 1 lakh units in just five months. Over the past two years, the Rizta has played a significant role in expanding Ather’s presence beyond Southern India. In markets such as Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha, Ather’s market share grew by 4 times, rising from 4.1 percent in Q1 FY25 to 17.3 percent in Q4 FY26, according to Vahan and Telangana Vehicle Online Sales data.
