Vida VxZ Based Zero Lompico Electric Motorcycle Leaked

The design drawings of the upcoming electric bike, titled as Zero Lompico, have released on the web ahead of its official debut

Zero Motorcycles, the California-based pure electric brand, is developing a new electric motorcycle based on the Vida VxZ. The design drawings of the upcoming electric bike, titled as Zero Lompico, have released on the web ahead of its official debut. The Lompico borrows multiple mechanical elements such as the frame, motor, battery and cycle parts from the Vida VxZ concept, which was unveiled at the EICMA 2025 in Italy. Later on, Hero MotoCorp filed the design patent of the VxZ in India, hinting at a launch in the coming months.

It has been learnt that Zero Lompico and Vida VxZ will be identical in terms of mechanicals and both the electric motorcycles could be developed simultaneously by Hero at its factory in India. In March 2023, Hero MotoCorp made a strategic investment in Zero Motorcycles to develop high-performance electric motorcycles and the first wave of co-developed models are likely to break cover at the EICMA 2026.

Despite sharing the same underpinnings, both the motorcycles maintain their individuality by having a different design altogether. While the VxZ flaunts a simpler roadster-like styling, the Lompico appears to follow contemporary and distinctive design language. With sharp bodywork all around, the headlamp is placed within the front panels.

Both the models also share a lot of other components such as electric motor, battery pack, suspension, brakes and wheels. The all-electric bikes are likely to be offered with a 8.8 kWh battery pack which will be housed in a steel tubular frame. The battery will be connected with the same Z-Force 75-5 electric motor which we have seen in the Zero FX. It generates maximum power of 40.2 bhp.

During the world premiere of Vida VxZ at the EICMA 2025, Hero MotoCorp stated that it will be developed in partnership with Zero Motorcycle. However, no technical details were released regarding the upcoming Hero electric motorcycle at that time and still we do have not have them in public domain, despite the design patent being filed in India.

The sources close to the development have indicated that final production version could not be launched under the ‘Lompico’ nameplate. The electric bike could carry the existing ‘SF’ moniker, instead. Similarly, in case of Vida VxZ, where VxZ stood for ‘Vida x Zero’ to imply the collaboration between the two brands, the production-ready model could be rolled out with a different name.
