New Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover Base Variant Launched in India

The new entry-level grade is around Rs 15,000 less expensive than the Original trim, which is priced at Rs 2.64 lakh (ex-showroom).

Ultraviolette Automotive, the Bengaluru-based high-performance electric motorcycle brand, has silently introduced a new variant of the X-47 Crossover in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the new base variant misses out on Ultraviolette Hypersense radar system. Though no official press note has been issued by the company yet, the new base variant is listed on the Ultraviolette website in India. The new Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover variant is nearly Rs 15,000 cheaper than the ‘Original’ variant, which is the next in hierarchy.

For those asking, UV Hypersense radar system comprises of multiple advanced ADAS-based safety features in the form of rear collision warnings, lane change assist, overtake alert, and blind-spot detection. However, as it happens to be the base trim aimed at cost-conscious buyers, the Hypersense radar system is not offered as standard fitment.

With the new entry-level grade, the X-47 Crossover is now available in a total of six variants namely X-47, Original, Original Plus, Recon, Recon Plus and Desert Wing at prices of Rs 2.49 lakh, Rs 2.64 lakh, Rs 3.09 lakh, Rs 3.59 lakh, Rs 4.09 lakh, and Rs 4.59 lakh, respectively. All the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom, Bengaluru.

In March 2026, Ultraviolette rolled out Battery Flex, a first-of-its-kind Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) initiative in partnership with Ecofy, for the X-47 Crossover. It reduced the upfront pricing of the electric motorcycle by 40 percent and as a result, the X-47 Crossover can be availed at sticker price of merely Rs 1.49 lakh and monthly cost of Rs 2,499/- for the battery.

The Battery Flex (BaaS) model includes a 5-year warranty on the battery pack while the ownership is transferred to the customer at no extra cost at the end of subscription. The enrolments for Battery Flex started on March 5, 2026 across India. The X-47 Crossover was presented in Sep 2025 as the world’s first electric motorcycle to be equipped with integrated radar technology as standard.

Powered by a 10.3 kWh battery pack, Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover delivers top power of 40.2 hp and highest torque of 100 Nm. This allows the electric motorcycle to accelerate from 0–60 kmph in just 2.7 seconds and achieve a top speed of 145 kmph. It returns an IDC range of up to 323 km on a full charge. The new base variant remains unchanged in terms of battery pack, range and other technical specs.
