The list of top 10 two-wheeler models in Apr 2026 had 6 motorcycles, 3 scooters and 1 moped from the leading auto brands in the country
The Indian two-wheeler industry registered a healthy YoY growth of 25 percent in Apr 2026 as the combined sales of top 10 models stood at over 12.54 lakh units as compared to 10.05 lakh units in Apr 2025. The entry-level motorcycle and scooter segments continued to flourish as renowned brands such as Hero, Honda, TVS and Bajaj accounted for majority of the sales volumes. Hero Splendor retained the first position with a decent YoY growth of 56.2 percent as 3.09 lakh units were sold last month against 1.98 lakh units in Apr 2025.
Honda Activa occupied the second position with retail volumes of over 2.20 lakh units in Apr 2026. It was the top-selling scooter in the Indian market last month with a YoY growth of 13.3 percent as 1.95 lakh units were sold in Apr 2025. Hero Splendor and Honda Activa have been the numero-uno models in the motorcycle and scooter segments, respectively, for the last so many years.
The Shine 125 remained at the third spot with 1.83 lakh units sold during the last month against 1.69 units in Apr 2025 with a single digit YoY growth of 8.3 percent. The fourth position was secured by Bajaj Pulsar with sales of 1.31 lakh units at a YoY growth of 5.7 percent in Apr 2026 as compared to 1.24 lakh units retailed in Apr 2025. The Splendor, Shine and Pulsar jointly had nearly 50 percent of the market share in the motorcycle segment.

The fifth position was bagged by TVS Jupiter with 1.17 lakh units in Apr 2026 with a YoY growth of 14.4 percent as 1.03 lakh units were sold in Apr 2025. The HF Deluxe made an impressive comeback at the sixth position with an exceptional YoY sales growth of 121 percent in Apr 2026. It posted sales of 91,977 units last month as compared to 41,645 units in Apr 2025 in the domestic market in India.
Suzuki Access made it to the seventh position with retail volumes of 70,339 units in Apr 2026 against 65,017 units in Apr 2025. It witnessed a rise in YoY sales by 8 percent. TVS Apache took the eighth position with sales of 49,390 units last month as compared to 45,633 units in Apr 2025. The YoY sales growth stood at 8 percent. It was followed by the XL100 moped which recorded sales of 42,246 units with a YoY growth of 9 percent.

Last but not the least, Honda CB Unicorn was placed at the tenth position with retail volumes of 39,310 units in Apr 2026. It recorded a decent YoY growth of 51 percent as a total of 26,017 units were sold in Apr 2025. So, as we can see, TVS and Honda each had three models in the list of top 10 two-wheelers in Apr 2026 while Hero had only two models this time.
