The major chunk of Hero’s sales came from the entry-level commuter motorcycle segment where it has models like Splendor, Passion and HF Deluxe
Hero MotoCorp has been the world’s largest two-wheeler brand over the last several years. The Jaipur-based company sold a total of 60.66 lakh units in FY26 as compared to 56.10 lakh units in FY25 with a YoY growth of 8 percent. Needless to mention, Hero Splendor was the best-selling model in the last fiscal year with retail volumes of over 35 lakh units. It was India’s highest-selling two-wheeler in FY26 as it outnumbered Honda Activa (28.45 lakh units) by a fair margin of around 7 lakh units in the domestic market.
The Splendor recorded YoY growth of 8 percent as 32.65 lakh units were sold in FY25. The second position was occupied by Hero HF Deluxe with more than 10.12 lakh units in FY26 with a YoY growth of 4 percent. The brand had sold 9.71 lakh units of the entry-level motorcycle in FY25. Hence, it is quite clear from the aforementioned sales data that the 100-125cc segment of motorcycles is totally dominated by Hero MotoCorp through Splendor and HF Deluxe.
The third top-selling Hero model was the Destini 125 with volumes of over 2.56 lakh units in FY26. The scooter posted a healthy YoY growth of 84 percent as around 1.40 lakh units of the Destini 125 were sold in FY25. It was closely followed by another two entry-level motorcycles namely Passion and Glamour with sales of 2.49 lakh and 2.21 lakh, respectively.

The Xtreme 125R was not much behind as it posted sales of close to 2.10 lakh units in FY26. Despite the sales surpassing 2 lakh units, it posted YoY de-growth of 26 percent as over 2.83 lakh units were sold in FY25. Hence, it is quite evident from this sales data that Hero has five best-selling motorcycles in the 100-125cc segment with unmatched dominance.
Hero Super Splendor sales declined in FY26 and fell below 2 lakh units as it registered a negative YoY growth of 20 percent. The Pleasure too witnessed a steep decline in sales volumes with a YoY de-growth of 28 percent in FY26. Hero Xtreme 160R stood at 19,377 units in FY26, down from 28,184 units in FY25, with a YoY decline of 31 percent. Hero Karizma XMR 210 was the worst performing model with YoY decline in sales by 92 percent as volumes stood at merely 233 units in FY26 against 2,932 units in FY25.

A special mention goes to Vida electric scooters as they recorded the highest-ever YoY growth of 154 percent in FY26 with volumes of more than 1.48 lakh units as against 58,503 units in FY25. The Xoom scooter also posted YoY growth of 26 percent in FY26 as 58,684 units were sold against 46,512 units in FY25. The Xpulse 210 sales stood at 35,646 units in FY26 with a YoY growth of 32 percent as compared to 26,997 units in FY25.
