Honda 2-Wheelers India has launched the NX500 E-Clutch at a sticker price of Rs 7.44 lakh (ex-showroom, India) in the country. The bookings for the E-Clutch variant has begun at Honda BigWing dealerships across the country. Honda NX500 E-Clutch will be available in two colour schemes namely Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic and Pearl Horizon White. The globally proven clutch automation technology helps in reducing fatigue caused by regular clutch operation during busy city roads as well as long highway stretches.
On the announcement, Mr. Tsutsumu Otani, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said: “The Honda NX500 equipped with E Clutch technology enhances comfort and control across both urban and touring environments in India, by reducing rider fatigue, while retaining the engaging, hands-on riding experience that defines Honda motorcycles.”
The E-Clutch system eliminates the need for manual operation of the clutch and manages clutch engagement during starting, gear shifting, and stopping. Through the use of precise electronic control, it manages the clutch operation automatically while allowing riders to override the system at any time. In global markets, the E-Clutch technology is quite popular.

Sitting on a steel diamond frame, Honda NX500 E-Clutch comes with Showa-sourced USD front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock suspension. The stopping power comes from dual front disc brakes and a rear disc unit with dual-channel ABS. Riding on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, the NX500 is offered with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and LED lighting as standard features.
In addition, the NX500 boasts of a 5-inch fully-coloured TFT display with Honda RoadSync connectivity which enables turn-by-turn navigation, call and music functions. A few other notable elements in the bike are tall windscreen, knuckle guards, and wide tyres. Tipping the weighing scale at 196 kg, Honda NX500 has a fuel tank capacity of 17.5 litres. It comes with a ground clearance of 181 mm.

At the heart, it has the 471cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine which generates maximum power of 47 bhp at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 43 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The assist & slipper clutch variant is priced at Rs 6.33 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which makes the E-Clutch variant more expensive by around Rs 1.11 lakh.
