Royal Enfield Apr 2026 Sales: Domestic Volumes Grow, Exports Decline

Royal Enfield retailed more than 1.13 lakh motorcycles in Apr 2026, despite the exports volumes going down by 14 percent on a YoY basis

Royal Enfield has registered a healthy YoY sales growth of 31 percent in Apr 2026 by retailing a total of 1.13 lakh units. The company had sold 86,559 motorcycles during the same month last year. As for the domestic market in India, it posted YoY growth of 37 percent with 1.04 lakh units being sold in Apr 2026 as compared to 76,002 units in Apr 2025. However, the export business took a hit as the brand recorded a de-growth of 14 percent in Apr 2026. It shipped 9,035 made-in-India motorcycles last month against 10,557 units in Apr 2025.

Speaking about the performance for April 2026, B. Govindarajan, Managing Director – Eicher Motors Ltd. and Chief Executive Officer – Royal Enfield, said, “We have started the new financial year with strong momentum, setting the tone for an exciting and important year ahead. April 2026 was special for us as we took our first step into electric mobility with the launch of the Flying Flea C6 – which has received an overwhelmingly encouraging response. During the month our growing global brand strength was further affirmed as Royal Enfield was recognised as the world’s third strongest automobile brand by Brand Finance.”

Royal Enfield introduced its first-ever electric motorcycle last month in the form of the Flying Flea C6. Priced at Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom), it will be sold in a phased city-by-city manner. As of now, Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 is only available for sale in Bengaluru. The electric bike can also be purchased with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) package with reduced upfront pricing of Rs 1.99 lakh.

Apart from the Flying Flea C6, the Chennai-based two-wheeler brand also rolled out the 2026 Hunter 350 in April. It presented a new Base Premium variant in Tarmac Black paint scheme while adding two new colourways namely Mumbai Yellow and Moonshot White to the higher trims. The 2026 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 was launched at HunterHood festival in Lucknow.

Furthermore, Royal Enfield was recognised as one of the world’s strongest auto brands in 2026 by Brand Finance. The report by the global brand valuation consultancy ranked RE as the third strongest automobile brand globally, and it was among the only eight Indian companies that featured in the global top 100 list. This was indeed a big moment for the Indian brand.

Last but not the least, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 became the highest-selling adventure motorcycle in India and Brazil. The ADV bike posted an annual sales growth of over 53 percent (excluding India). It was the strongest year for the Himalayan 450 globally as sales volumes surpassed 38,000 units. The Himalayan 450 was launched in late 2023 in the global markets, including India.
