Royal Enfield Himalayan Base Camp Ladakh Edition Announced

The Himalayan Base Camp Ladakh Edition will be a three-day gathering in Leh, Ladakh between September 4–6, 2026

Royal Enfield has announced the Himalayan Base Camp Ladakh Edition in the Indian market. Unlike many other Royal Enfield traditional ride programmes, it has been touted as ‘a convergence of riders, seekers, climbers, overlanders, and those for whom adventure is not a weekend escape but a way of moving through the world.’ As evident from the name, the inaugural edition of the Himalayan Base Camp Ladakh Edition will be set 11,480 feet in Leh, Ladakh which RE calls its very own spiritual ground as most of the bike testing is carried out here.

The Ladakh Edition will be a three-day gathering in Leh, Ladakh between September 4–6, 2026. It will boast of curated expeditions, skill-based workshops, expert-led sessions and hands-on challenges across adventure travel, adventure sport and adventure lifestyle. The most interesting thing about this programme is that participants don’t watch, but they do.

Mohit Dhar Jayal, Chief Brand Officer, Royal Enfield, said: “The Himalayan Base Camp is a rendezvous point for all adventurers, regardless of whether they are driven by horsepower, willpower or their own two feet. The program combines action, instruction and a variety of expeditions that will take adventurers out of their comfort zone – and bring them back to base with a whole new set of skills and experiences.”

Apart from conventional motorcycling, the participants will also indulge in cycling, kayaking, bouldering and mountaineering. The brand claims that there will be ‘something unique as well as familiar for every adventure aficionado’.

“Whether you are crawling at 10 km/h over a boulder or flying at 100 km/h across a valley, riding at 500 MASL or ascending to 8,000— it is a shared space where every aficionado helps shape the action, fuel the subcultures, and defines the very spirit of adventure,” said the company in an official statement.

Meanwhile, in other news, Royal Enfield is all set to introduce two all-new motorcycles in the Indian market by March 2027. The models in question here are the Scram 450 and Himalayan 440. While the former will use tried-and-trusted 452cc liquid-cooled Sherpa engine as the Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450, the latter will be powered by the Scram 440’s LC4 long-stroke engine.
