First unveiled at the IBW 2025, the R1R race-derived helmet has been developed with direct input from KYT’s MotoGP racing programme
House of Machines, the official importer and distributor of KYT Helmets in India, has launched the R1R full-face racing helmet at a starting price of Rs 39,000 in the country. KYT R1R is rolled out in multiple variant with Colour Graphics range costing Rs 39,000 while both the Carbon Graphics and Replica ranges have a fixed sticker price of Rs 43,500. The R1R race-derived helmet has been developed with direct input from KYT’s MotoGP racing programme. We got the first glimpse of this model at the India Bike Week (IBW) 2025.
KYT claims that the R1R provides “uncompromising performance, advanced safety, and true race-bred engineering” to the riders. It has been designed and engineered in Italy with the help of advanced digital development tools. KYT R1R has undergone over three years of rigorous wind tunnel testing, alongside extensive road and track validation.
The KYT R1R helmet is said to be delivering highest level of aerodynamic stability across multiple riding conditions which includes high-speed straights, aggressive braking, and cornering. It can be used for track riding as well as high-performance road riding. Having a tricomposite shell construction as it combines carbon fibre, aramid fibre, and fibreglass, KYT R1R also features a multi-density EPS liner, engineered for progressive energy absorption across different impact zones.

The R1R helmet comes with ECE 22.06 homologation, which meets the latest and most stringent European safety standards. The helmet’s ventilation system is designed for performance riding, with integrated intake channels working in conjunction with the rear spoiler and Venturi-effect extraction system to deliver efficient airflow and heat dissipation.
Inside, the helmet features Hydrocool technical fabric, engineered to rapidly dissipate heat, manage moisture, and maintain rider comfort during intense riding conditions.A standout feature of the R1R is its advanced visor system, offering an expansive 210-degree horizontal and 90-degree vertical field of view, ensuring maximum situational awareness on both road and track.

The visor delivers Optical Class 1 clarity and incorporates a rototranslation mechanism that enhances sealing and structural integrity.A metal alloy Racing Lock System ensures secure closure at high speeds, reducing the risk of accidental opening during impact scenarios. The helmet features a Pinlock-ready visor, with the anti-fog insert sold separately. Customers can also choose from a selection of tinted visors as optional accessories.
