The Raider flex fuel made its first public appearance over two years back at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi
Recently, Sudarshan Venu – Managing Director of TVS Motor Company, confirmed that the company will introduce flex-fuel models in a phased manner in the Indian market. The company has already achieved 20 percent ethanol blending with petrol in the form of E20 fuel. Now, it will shift focus towards flex-fuel two-wheelers, and we believe that the Raider flex-fuel could be the first one in the series to launch in the domestic market in India. TVS Raider Flex Fuel Launch Date in India
It has been more than two years since we saw the first glimpse of the Raider flex-fuel at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Feb. With the confirmation coming from the TVS big boss, we expect the Raider to become the first flex fuel model from TVS. It could be launched by the end of this year in India. The home-grown two-wheeler brand is likely to advance its launch by a couple of months to take advantage of the Diwali festive season around Sep-Oct later this year.
TVS Raider Flex Fuel Price in India
The stock motorcycle is priced between Rs 82,000-97,050 (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. However, TVS Raider flex fuel is expected to be more expensive by Rs 4,000-6,000 than the standard version, depending on the variant. Hence, the price of the range-topping variant of flex fuel motorcycle could exceed Rs 1 lakh mark in the Indian market.
TVS Raider Flex Fuel Design
The Raider flex fuel was presented in a triple-tone livery at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Feb 2024. The model had Blue and Black as basic body colours with a bright green graphic and ‘FFT’ graphics. The rear profile gets a grey finish with blue stickers while the wheels flaunt bright green rim tape. The flex fuel version will be introduced with this unique livery in order to distinguish it from the standard model.nmn n
TVS Raider Flex Fuel Features
The flex fuel model displayed at the inaugural edition of Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Feb 2024 was equipped with multiple modern features such as LED headlamp, digital instrument cluster, and Bluetooth connectivity. Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, it also gets front disc and rear drum brakes as standard. The suspension duties are carried by telescopic front forks and monoshock rear absorber with 5-step preload adjustability.
TVS Raider Flex Fuel Engine
It will come with TVS Flex Fuel Technology (FFT) which enables the blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent petrol. In other words, it can also be termed as E85 fuel compliant. The Raider flex fuel model will retain the same 124.8cc single-cylinder engine which pumps out 11.2 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It will witness a marginal drop in mileage as compared to petrol-powered models.
