The Scrambler 650 will be the second BSA motorcycle to go on sale in the Indian market after the Gold Star 650
Classic Legends will launch the BSA Scrambler 650 on Apr 23, 2026 in the Indian market. The company has sent us a ‘Book Your Date’ invite for a media event on the same day, which confirms the arrival of a new model. Recently, during an interaction with news agency PTI, Classic Legends Co-founder Anupam Thareja had hinted at the launch of a new Scrambler motorcycle while refraining from sharing exact details. However, we have learnt from reliable sources that BSA Scrambler 650 will debut on Apr 23 in our market to rival Royal Enfield Bear 650.
Based on the Gold Star 650, the Scrambler 650 had its world premiere in July 2025 in the UK. While the Gold Star comes with out-and-out retro styling, the Scrambler gets a neo retro and rugged design. Built for off-roading, it boasts of a raised front fender, single-piece seat, teardrop shaped fuel tank, circular LED headlamp with optional grille, and a side plate with ‘65’ graphics. It tips the weighing scale at 218 kg.
BSA Scrambler 650 rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire spoke wheels which come fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. The bike has a saddle height of 820 mm which can be considered decent for even short-heighted riders. The suspension duties are helmed by 41mm telescopic front forks and dual-shock rear absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload.

The stopping power comes from disc brakes at both the ends, which are supported by a dual-channel ABS. The Scrambler 650 has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres. A special mention goes to the single upswept exhaust pipe which complements the overall look of the motorcycle. The UK-spec model is priced at Rs £5,999 RRP which roughly translates to Rs 7.39 lakh. However, the India-bound BSA Scrambler 650 is likely to be priced around Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom).
BSA Scrambler 650 is available in three colour options namely Thunder Grey, Raven Black and Victor Yellow. These paint schemes are expected to be on offer with the India-spec model as well. The Scrambler is packed with a single-pod instrument console with basic features. The other noteworthy feature in the motorcycle is slipper clutch as BSA has not equipped it with premium bells and whistles.

At the heart, the Scrambler 650 will house the 652cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which develops top power of 45 hp at 6500 rpm and peak torque of 55 Nm at 4000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
