The Flying Flea C6 is nearing its launch and we might actually see the all-electric motorcycle on roads within the next month or so
Royal Enfield’s first all-electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, made a public appearance in Rome, Italy. It was showcased in production-ready guise for the first time in Europe at the Rome Marathon. The Flying Flea is confirmed to launch in the Indian market in the next couple of weeks. The electric motorcycle will be locally developed at the brand’s Chennai manufacturing facility. Developed for urban mobility, the electric roadster motorcycle is likely to be powered by a 3.5-4 kWh battery pack with a range of 100-120 km on a single charge.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 had its world premiere at the EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy. Since then, it went on to a multi-city showcasing tour including Mumbai, London, and Bengaluru. Recently, the production-ready bike was spotted near RE’s factory in Chennai without any camouflage, indicating that series production has commenced and it is ready to hit the Indian roads.
The Flying Flea nameplate goes long way back to the era of 1940s when it was used during the World War II by the army. The C6 takes styling cues from the vintage model, albeit with modern elements like round LED headlamp, large alloy wheels, belt-drive setup, mid-mounted electric motor, detachable pillion seat, Girder fork front suspension, exposed rear frame and minimal body panels.

Interestingly, the latest spy shots showed the Flying Flea C6 with a centre stand. The braking duties are likely to be performed by disc brakes at both ends which will work alongside a dual-channel ABS. It will boast of a round digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth Smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call & message alerts.
A few other notable features onboard the Flying Flea C6 will be keyless ignition system, voice commands, music control and magnesium casing for the lithium-ion battery pack. It will be challenging the likes of Ola Roadster X, Revolt RV400 and Oben Rorr Sigma EZ in the Indian market. The Flying Flea C6 will also be exported to several global markets from India.

Royal Enfield is working on a comprehensive portfolio of electric motorcycles under the Flying Flea badging. Apart from the C6, the second motorcycle namely S6 has also been revealed to the world. Unlike the C6, Flying Flea S6 is scrambler model made for all-terrain riding. It is expected to go on sale in India by the end of 2026, as officially stated by Royal Enfield.
