New Triumph 350cc Bikes India Launch on April 6, 2026

The new Triumph 350 bike range will include the Speed, Scrambler and Thruxton models with a downsized 350cc engine at the helm

Triumph India has announced the launch date of its upcoming 350cc range of motorcycles in the country. The company has sent a ‘Block-Your-Date’ invite for April 6, 2026 while confirming that the new 350cc models will indeed be introduced on this day in the Indian market. A few days back, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, had made it official by stating that the new Triumph 350cc range of bikes will go on sale from April 2026 in India. Triumph is likely to present the 350cc versions of the Speed, Scrambler and Thruxton line-up on April 6.

First things first, the 350cc engine at the helm of these motorcycles is not an all-new engine. Instead, it has been developed from the existing 398cc engine by reducing the bore size while keeping the stroke intact. Hence, as far as performance is concerned, there will not be a major downshift and one can expect decent improvement in low-end and mid-range torque delivery.

The official power and torque figures are not in public domain yet. However, we expect the new Triumph 350cc bikes to return max power of around 35 bhp while torque performance could be in the ballpark of 32-33 Nm. Just so you know, the 398cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor churns out 39.4 bhp at 8000 rpm and 37.5 Nm at 6500 rpm with the Speed, Scrambler and Thruxton models.

Apart from the 350cc engine, the upcoming Triumph 350 bikes are likely to remain unchanged in terms of design, features and cycle parts. They will carry forward these things from the 400 models. However, it makes for a really good opportunity for Triumph to update the feature list of these bikes and include a few premium equipment such as quickshifter, ride modes and TFT instrument panel.

As the new 350 range of Triumph bikes will benefit significantly from the lower GST of 18 percent as compared to the 400 line-up of motorcycles which are taxed at 40 percent, we expect them to be cheaper by around Rs 15,000-20,000. The exact reduction in price will vary from model to model. Both the 350 and 400 range of bikes will be sold simultaneously in the Indian market.

The British brand’s 400cc range of motorcycles is already quite popular in the middleweight segment in India. These models clock an average monthly sales of around 4000-5000 units and with the arrival of a more affordable and accessible 350cc range, these numbers are certainly like to soar higher while giving tough competition to Royal Enfield which has the widest 350cc portfolio in the Indian market.
