The Vida VxZ, apparently the first electric motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp, has been captured on camera in India during its test runs
Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Vida VxZ electric motorcycle in concept form at the EICMA 2025. Laat month, the company filed the design patents for the upcoming electric bike in the Indian market. Now, it has been spotted testing for the first time in and around the outskirts of Jaipur (Rajasthan), where Hero MotoCorp has its state-of-the-art production facility. The Vida VxZ is being jointly developed by Hero MotoCorp and its American partner Zero Motorcycles, which is viewed as a pioneer in the electric motorcycle industry.
The spy images show a production-ready unit of the Vida VxZ motorcycle with partial camouflage on the roads. It will be locally developed in India while exported to various global markets. Flaunting a streetfighter design, Vida VxZ appears quite identical to an ICE-powered conventional motorcycle. It boasts of a diamond-shaped LED headlamp with signature Vida LED DRLs.
A few other notable styling elements include 5-spoke alloy wheels, compact rear profile, stepped seat setup, and muscular fuel tank. We can also see USD front forks in the spy pics while it is likely to come with a monoshock rear suspension. The stopping power is expected to come from disc brakes at front and rear while ABS could also be offered as a standard safety feature.

Hero Vida VxZ will run on a belt drive instead of the traditional chain setup. The leaked design patent made it clear that the all-electric motorcycle will come with an all-digital instrument panel with multiple ride modes. Since the Vida VxZ does not resemble to any electric bike of the US-based Zero Motorcycles even remotely, it is believed both Hero and Zero have developed an all-new platform for the Indian market.
The technical specs of the Hero Vida VxZ are not in public domain yet. However, media reports indicate that it will deliver performance equivalent to a 150cc ICE powered sports bike. In all likelihood, the electric motorcycle will return a range of 200+ km on a single charge as it would be up against the likes of Ola Roadster X and Royal Enfield Flying Flea.

As the road testing has already commenced, we can expect the Vida VxZ to go on sale by the end of 2026 in the Indian market. It will be the first electric motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp as presently it retails only electric scooters under the Vida badging in India. Stay tuned for more updates on the same.
