The Infinite Cruise feature will be available to all the the existing owners of 2025 Ather 450X customers through an OTA (over-the-air) update
Ather Energy has introduced the ‘Infinite Cruise’ feature on the 450X electric scooter in the Indian market. For all the existing owners of the 2025 Ather 450X, it will be enabled through an OTA (over-the-air) update. On the other hand, in the new models manufactured this year, it will be offered as a standard feature. Just so you know, Ather 450X range price starts at Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The Infinity Cruise debuted on the range-topping Apex 450 in August 2025 at the Ather Community Day.
Developed specifically for the Indian road conditions, Infinite Cruise can be activated between speeds of 10kmph and 90 kmph. It is quite different from the conventional cruise control system as it does not disengage during braking or acceleration by the rider. It adapts automatically to the rider’s inputs while recalibrating to the new speed without requiring repeated activation.
The traditional cruise control feature is mainly used by setting a steady highway speed. However, Infinite Cruise can operate at speeds below 30 kmph while navigating dense traffic, uneven roads, and frequent speed changes. Hence, it ensures seamless cruising through thick traffic with reduced throttle intervention and lesser fatigue for the rider.

Infinite Cruise consists of three systems in the form of CityCruise, Hill Control and Crawl Control. While CityCruise adapts to frequent changes in the speed, the Hill Control helps in maintaining a steady pace on inclines and descents by leveraging regenerative braking through Ather’s Magic Braking Algorithm. Last but not the least, the Crawl Control enables stable low-speed cruising on rough and uneven terrains, which is supported by Multimode Traction Control system.
The Infinite Cruise feature will benefit over 44,000 Ather 450X customers who have made their purchases from January 1, 2025 onwards. Now, with the inclusion of this feature alongside Multi Mode Traction Control and Magic Twist, the 2025 Ather 450X will be safer and convenient than before. The entire 450 range (X and Apex) are now equipped with Infinite Cruise.

Ather Energy has been making stable progress in the electric two-wheeler segment. It finished 2025 as the third biggest e2w brand in India with sales of more than 2 lakh units. The company, in an intensly fought battle, pipped Ola Electric to capture the third position behind legacy players like TVS and Bajaj. In the coming months, we will see the brand launching its first mass-market affordable electric scooter in India.
