Both the Speed 400 and Speed T4 are offered with genuine Triumph accessories worth Rs 11,500 free of cost for a limited period of time
Triumph India has rolled out ‘New Year’ offer on two of its motorcycles namely Speed 400 and Speed T4 in the country. The limited-period offer provides benefits of up to Rs 11,500 in the form of genuine Triumph accessories as they come absolutely free of cost on the purchase of these 400 cc motorcycles. However, the brand has silently increased the price of Speed 400 from Rs 2.34 lakh to Rs 2.39 lakh, which is a hike of around Rs 5,000. On the other hand, Triumph Speed T4 price too has surged by approx Rs 2000 and it will now be sold at Rs 1.95 lakh. All the prices mentioned here are ex-showroom, Delhi.
The genuine Triumph accessories worth Rs 11,500 include Tank pad, Windscreen, Knee pads, Lower engine bars and Back rest. These five accessories are given free of cost to the customers for a limited period on the purchase of the Speed T4 and Speed 400. A couple of weeks back, Triumph had stated that it will increase the prices of its 400cc model range from Jan 1, 2026.
The reasons behind the price rise are quite obvious and simple. In Sep 2025, after the implementation of GST 2.0, the company had not hiked the prices of its 400 portfolio and absorbed the impact. For those asking, GST 2.0 ensured that bikes with engine capacity above 350cc would be taxed at 40 percent from the existing 28 percent in the Indian market and hence, Triumph’s 400cc motorcycles were most impacted by this.

Though, the British two-wheeler brand gave interim relief to the buyers by not directly passing this tax hike to the customers. It retained the pre-GST 2.0 pricing for the entire 400cc portfolio by absorbing the tax impact. It was learnt that this is a temporary exercise and at some point, the company will announce a price hike before it develops the downsized version (350cc) of this 400cc engine.
Several media reports claim that Triumph has started work on a 350cc engine to get the GST benefits. Just so you know, the bikes with engine capacity below 350cc attract 18 percent GST as compared to previous 28 percent. Hence, in order to get the lower tax benefits, Triumph is developing a 350cc engine from the ongoing 400cc engine with lower power and torque.

We could see the first Triumph motorcycle with the new 350cc engine by mid 2026. The company intends to offer all the 400cc models with this 350cc engine in a phased-wise manner so that they can be priced aggressively and take on the segment leaders like Royal Enfield and KTM.
