Ather Electric Scooters to be Expensive by Upto Rs. 3,000

Ather Energy has increased the prices of Rizta and 450 electric scooters by up to Rs. 3,000 in the Indian market, effective Jan 1, 2026

Ather Energy has announced a price hike of up to Rs 3,000 across its electric scooter portfolio in the Indian market. The revised pricing will be applicable from Jan 1, 2026 in the country. However, the buyers can lock the current price this month, ahead of the scheduled upward revision from next month. The Bengaluru-based EV-startup stated that pricing of the e-scooters has been increased due to rise in prices of raw material, forex and key electronics components globally. It presently retails two electric scooters namely Rizta and 450.

Ather has also rolled out the ‘Electric December’ initiative with benefits of up to Rs 20,000 in select cities. These offers include instant credit card EMI discounts, cash benefits, and a complimentary 8-year extended battery warranty (Eight70 warranty) on the purchase of select electric scooter models. The company will also provide support from a multitude of financiers.

While the Rizta is a family e-scooter, the 450 series represents sporty electric scooters with several modern features such as multi-mode traction control and MagicTwist, Google Maps navigation, WhatsApp on the Dashboard, and call and music control. Ather Rizta sales recently surpassed the 2 lakh units milestone in the Indian market.

It is rolled out with a broader seat and decent floorboard space to accommodate the everyday needs of a family. Apart from the company authorized dealerships, both the Rizta and 450 electric scooters can be purchased online at Amazon and Flipkart e-commerce platforms.

The Rizta is also offered with an array of advanced features in the form of SkidControl, Fall Safe, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), and theft and tow alerts. Recently, the company extended the touchscreen functionality to the Z variant of the electric scooter. The Rizta as well as the 450 series is compatible with fast-charging through Ather Grid fast charging network.
