BMW Bikes Price Hiked by 6 Percent in India – Details

The German brand has increased the prices of its scooter and motorcycle models by up to 6 percent in the Indian market

BMW Motorrad India has announced a price hike by up to 6 percent across the entire motorcycle range from Jan 1, 2026. Presently, the German brand locally produces two models in India in the form of G 310 RR and CE 02. On the other hand, all the remaining bikes and scooters are being sold as direct import which includes the likes of F 900 GS, F 900 GSA, R 1300 GS, R 1300 GSA, M 1000 RR, M 1000 R, S 1000 RR, S 1000 R, R 18 Transcontinental, R 12, R 12 nine T, R 1250 RT, K 1600 B, K 1600 GTL, K 1600 GA, C 400 GT and CE 04.

Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India said, “Pressure from forex due to Indian Rupee’s sharp depreciation against US dollar and Euro has not eased for several months now and the input costs of raw materials and logistics have been impacted. The planned price hike measure will ensure necessary profitability and continued value generation for the company as well as our dealer partners.”

BMW’s most affordable motorcycle in India is the G 310 RR at Rs 2.81 lakh (ex-showroom) while the most expensive model in the brand line-up is the M 1000 XR at a staggering price point of Rs 48.63 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country. As for the scooter range, the ‘Made in India’ CE 02 costs Rs 4.49 lakh (ex-showroom) while the CE 04 is sold at Rs 15.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

The company is all set to expand its product portfolio with the introduction of the F 450 GS in the Indian market. Slated to launch in Jan 2026, it will be the entry-level adventure motorcycle from the German brand in India, positioned below the F 900 GS Adventure. The bike recently entered local production at the Hosur factory of TVS in Tamil Nadu, India. It will be up against the likes of KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and Kawasaki Versys-X 300.

BMW F 450 GS

BMW F 450 GS had its global debut at the EICMA 2025 in Italy. It is likely to come at a price of around Rs 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Some of the notable features onboard include 19-inch front alloy wheel, USD telescopic front forks, 6.5-inch instrument console with TFT display and Bluetooth connectivity, Ride Modes (Rain, Road, Enduro, and Enduro Pro), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) and ABS Pro.
