The WN7 electric motorcycle will go on sale in several global markets in the coming few months, including India
Honda WN7, the brand’s first all-electric motorcycle was unveiled at the EICMA 2025 earlier this month in Italy. Based on the EV Fun Concept, the naked bike comes with a fixed battery pack. The WN7 will be locally developed at Honda’s Kumamoto Factory in Japan while launching in several global markets in a phased manner. Though Honda has not officially confirmed the launch of the WN7 electric motorcycle in India yet, we believe it will arrive in our country in 2026. Lets talk in detail about the Honda WN7 including its features, battery and range.
1. Honda WN7 Design
Honda WN7 comes with a slim and futuristic design based on the “Be the Wind” development concept. It flaunts the signature horizontal light bar upfront which will also be seen in Honda’s future electric motorcycles. The e-motorcycle gets black-based body, which is accented with gold component parts. Honda claims that this colour theme will also make its way in the upcoming global electric models, identical to the light bar.
2. Honda WN7 Chassis
The WN7 sits on a one-of-its-kind frameless structure which not only helps in weight reduction but also provides it greater flexibility. The battery pack is placed at the center of the chassis in an aluminium casing. The handle-supporting head pipe and pivot bracket which supports the rear are directly integrated to the centrally located power unit.

3. Honda WN7 Features
Some of the notable features onboard the Honda WN7 electric motorcycle are 5-inch TFT instrument console, Honda RoadSync connectivity, Regenerative braking, Deceleration Selector and Walking Speed Mode. For those asking, the Walking Speed Mode helps the rider in parking and maneuvering the electric bike in congested spaces by allowing it to move forward or backward slowly using the left-hand switch and throttle.
4. Honda WN7 Battery and Range
Honda WN7 electric motorcycle comes with a 9.3 kWh fixed lithium-ion battery which returns an estimated range of more than 130 km on a single charge. In addition, the Japanese brand claims a range of 140 km (WMTC mode) on a full charge. The battery pack is connected to a newly developed, compact and lightweight water-cooled electric motor which generates max power of 67 bhp and peak torque of 100 Nm. The power output is equivalent to a 600cc ICE bike while the torque is identical to a 1000cc ICE motorcycle. Using the belt-drive system, power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a newly designed gearbox.

5. Honda WN7 Charging Time
Apart from the conventional home charging, Honda WN7 is also compatible with CCS2 fast charging. While the normal charging takes 2.4 hours to fully charge the battery from scratch to 100 percent, the CCS2 fast-charging takes merely 30 mins for 20 percent to 80 percent charge. The ‘W’ in the name of the electric bike stands for “Be the Wind” development concept, while the letter ‘N’ denotes “Naked,” followed by the number ‘7’ which indicates the output class.
