The Cruise Control variant gets a new colour scheme, premium features and subtle cosmetic updates with a hike in price by just Rs 3,379 in the country
Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control last week in the Indian market. It was listed on the official company website along with the notable features, including the first-in-segment cruise control. Now, Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control price has been revealed and it will cost Rs 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom) which is nearly Rs 3,379 more than the standard variant. Offered in a new Matt Shadow Grey colour scheme, inspired by the Combat Edition, it is the range-topping grade in the Xtreme 160R 4V line-up.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control is introduced with several segment-leading features in the form of ride-by-wire throttle, updated switchgear and riding modes (Rain, Road and Sport) among many others. These features have been borrowed from the Xtreme 125R which was spotted undisguised at a Hero dealership earlier this month.
The new variant gets a new headlight which is a direct lift off from the Xtreme 250R. The reflector-based LED lights have gone for a toss in favour of the LED projector units with H-shaped DRLs. Besides the Matt Shadow Grey paint option of the Combat Edition, it is available in three more colours namely Kelvar Brown, Matte Slate Black and Neon Shooting Star.

The Xtreme 160R Cruise Control also boasts of a premium TFT instrument cluster with new multi-colour display. This too has been borrowed from the Xtreme 250R. It provides a wide array of info to the riders in the form of gear position indicator, fuel level, tachometer, speed, clock, odometer and dual trip meters. The bike is equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard.
The stopping power comes from front and rear disc brakes. As for suspension, it is packed with KYB-sourced inverted front forks and monoshock rear absorbers. The entire hardware is identical to the standard version of the bike and Hero has not made any changes in this. Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, Hero Xtreme 160R Cruise Control has a ground clearance of 165 mm while it can be filled with up to 12 litres of fuel.

At the heart, it has the tried-and-trusted 163.2cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled petrol engine which produces top power of 16.6 bhp and highest torque of 14.6 Nm while linked to a 5-speed transmission. The kerb weight is tipped at 147.5 kg. The Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control will directly rival TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar N160 in the Indian market.
