The BMW F 450 GS will be the most feature-rich and technologically advanced adventure motorcycle in its segment in the Indian market
BMW F 450 GS has finally made its global debut in production-ready form at the EICMA 2025. It will be available in four variants namely Basic, Exclusive, Sport and Trophy. The middleweight adventure motorcycle will be BMW’s entry-level model in the Indian market while developed locally by TVS at the Hosur production facility in Tamil Nadu. The F 450 GS will rival the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure in India as it is likely to be launched by early 2026 at a starting price of around Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Adorning the ongoing GS design language, it flaunts LED headlight with “X” daytime riding light upfront and stainless steel exhaust system at the rear. The buyers can also avail Akrapovic end muffler as optional accessory. The adventure bike comes with Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) function which allows engaging of the clutch lever depending on engine speed. Furthermore, the manual operation of the clutch is completely eliminated with the Shift Assistant Pro as it enables quick upshifts and downshifts without even touching the clutch lever.

BMW F 450 GS gets four ride modes namely Rain, Road, Enduro, and Enduro Pro as standard. It is packed with a host of advanced safety equipment in the form of ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and engine drag torque control (MSR). The tubular steel frame is suspended by KYB upside-down telescopic front forks and hollow-cast aluminum double-sided rear swing arm with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping.
The F 450 GS rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cast aluminum wheels which are shod with section 100/90-19 front and section 130/80-17 rear tubeless tyres. Though the customers can also opt for cross-spoke wheels as they are available with the Original BMW Motorrad Accessories range. The braking duties are carried by a single disc unit at front as well as rear. The fuel tank capacity is pegged at 14 litres.

BMW has introduced the F 450 GS with three different seat variants, adjustable handlebar levers, a handlebar riser, and secure footrests with height-adjustable gearshift and footbrake levers. The standard saddle height is 845 mm but the riders have the options of a low Black rider’s seat (830 mm) and the high Rallye seat in Black/White/Red (865 mm). The height of the foot brake lever can also be adjusted by 20 mm in two positions.
The F 450 GS boasts of a 6.5-inch TFT display which shows detailed information on DTC, braking force, and lean angle. The riders can also take phone calls, listen to music, and access navigation on the go. A wide range of accessories are available with the ADV bike in the form of engine guards, engine protection bars, front axle protectors, side bags, tail bags, luggage rolls, tank bags, luggage racks, high Tour windshield (height-adjustable) and the clear or tinted Rally windshield.

While the Basic and Exclusive trims are rolled out in Cosmic Black colour scheme, the Sport variant will be available in Racing Red paint shade. Last but not the least, the range-topping Trophy variant comes in Racing Blue Metallic colourway. At the heart, the F 450 GS houses a twin-cylinder in-line engine which develops 47 bhp at 8750 rpm and peak torque of 43 Nm at 6750 rpm. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. The service interval is kept at 10,000 km as standard.
