EICMA 2025: Hero Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition, Hunk 440 SX Showcased

Hero MotoCorp has showcased the Dakar Edition of the Xpulse 210 and export-spec version of the Mavrick 440 at the EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s biggest two-wheeler brand, has unveiled two ICE-powered models at the EICMA 2025 in the form of the Hunk 440 SX and the Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition. Both of these motorcycles have been engineered, conceptualized and developed jointly at the brand’s R&D centres in India and Germany. In addition, the company presented a plethora of electric models under the Vida badging, which includes the likes of VX2, Project VXZ and Ubex Concept among others. Hero also launched the Vida Novus, which it calls ‘intelligent, sustainable, and human-centric’.

Hero Hunk 440 SX

Being a modern scrambler motorcycle, it is built for both urban commuting and uneven terrains. Sitting on a high-strength perimeter frame, the Hunk 440 SX, originally the export-spec version of the Mavrick 440, comes with a plethora of premium features in the form of golden USD front fork, TFT instrument console, ride-by-wire throttle, multiple ride modes, switchable ABS and traction control.

Flaunting a rugged design, it rides on a 18-inch front wheel which is bigger in size than the India-spec model of the Mavrick 440. In addition, it is completely different from the made-in-India Mavrick 440 in terms of design elements as it gets different styling for wheels, longer rear fender, bigger engine guard, upswept twin-port exhaust, new tail-lamp cluster, braced handlebar and split seat setup.

Mechanically, the Hunk 440 SX is powered by the same 440cc single-cylinder oil-cooled long-stroke engine as the Mavrick 440. This engine complies with the latest Euro5+ European emission standards. Since Hero had filed a design patent around a year back for the Hunk 440 SX in the Indian market, it is likely to be launched in the country in 2026.

Hero Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition

Hero’s Motorsport team won the 2024 FIM World Title while also having a Dakar Podium finish recently. Hence, in order to celebrate these triumphs, the Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition has been rolled out with fully adjustable, rally-grade suspensions with 280 mm of travel at both the ends. The ground clearance has also been increased to 270 mm. The saddle height has also been enhanced as compared to the 830 mm of the stock motorcycle.

At the heart, it has the same 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC petrol engine with power and torque figures remaining the same as the standard adventure bike at 24.6 bhp and 20.7 Nm, respectively. We can expect the Xpulse 210 Dakar Edition to launch soon in the Indian market as a limited edition model.
