GST 2.0: Kawasaki KLX230 Price Comes Down to Rs 1.84 Lakh

Apart from the KLX230, the track-only KLX230R S has also become cheaper by Rs 15,000 with final pricing at Rs 1.79 lakh in India.

Kawasaki India has slashed the price of the KLX230 and KLX230R S by Rs 16,000 and Rs 15,000, respectively, in the country. Both the bikes now attract 18 percent GST as compared to 28 percent earlier. The 2025 GST reforms, which came into effect from Sep 22, put all motorcycles with engine capacity of up to 350cc in the tax bracket of 18 percent, thus making them cheaper than before for the customers. For those asking, Kawasaki KLX230 is a road legal adventure bike while the KLX230R S is specifically for riding on track.

Kawasaki KLX230 Price GST 2.0

Earlier this year in Aug, Kawasaki had commenced the local production of the KLX230 and hence it subsequently resulted in a massive price of Rs 1.30. The new model was priced at Rs 1.99 lakh post the beginning of local manufacturing in India. However, the price has further come down to around Rs 1.84 lakh due to the GST revision, thus making it a great value-for-money purchase.

Before the commencement of local production, Kawasaki KLW230 was sold via the CBU route at a much higher price of Rs 3.30 lakh. After multiple price reductions, it matches the price range of its arch rival Hero Xpulse 210 which comes in a range of Rs 1.62-1.71 lakh. The KLX230 is available in two colour schemes namely Lime Green and Battle Gray/ Bright White/ Ebony.
