Classic Legends will continue to retail the Goldstar 650 at a starting price of Rs 3.10 lakh despite the 2025 GST reforms taxing it at 40% from the earlier 28%
Classic Legends has rolled out a limited-period offer for the BSA Goldstar 650 in the Indian market. The first 500 buyers will be able to purchase the bike at pre-GST 2.0 prices along with an exclusive limited-edition accessory kit free of cost. Recently, the Union govt had introduced GST 2.0 under which bikes with engine capacity above 350cc were moved to 40 percent tax slab from the existing 28 percent. Therefore, most of the big bikes became expensive but Classic Legends has absorbed the price impact instead of passing it directly to the buyers.
BSA Goldstar 650 is available in six colour schemes namely Highland Green, Insignia Red, Shadow Black, Midnight Black, Dawn Silver, and Legacy Sheen Silver. It is priced in a range of Rs 3.10-3.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Classic Legends has joined the bandwagon of brands like Triumph, KTM and Bajaj who have not increased the prices of their motorcycles despite the GST revision.
Apart from retaining the pre-GST 2.0 price, the first 500 customers of the Goldstar 650 will also get the limited-edition accessory kit worth Rs 5,900 at no extra cost. This ‘Goldie kit’ includes multiple exterior elements which enhance the overall appearance of the bike in the form of a tall touring windscreen, a pillion backrest, a metal exhaust shield, and a rear rail.
Sharad Agarwal, Chief Business Officer, Classic Legends, stated, “The BSA Gold Star has garnered a loyal following since its launch in India, redefining motorcycling as a lifestyle rather than just a mode of transport. By holding our prices steady post-GST 2.0 for our first 500 buyers and pairing it with our festive initiative, we invite more enthusiasts to embrace this lifestyle without compromise.”
BSA Goldstar 650 can be purchased via the brand’s 400+ dealerships across India. Besides the retention of pre-GST 2.0 prices and offering the ‘Goldie kit’ at no additional cost, the company has also introduced exciting finance offers, including interest rates starting at 5.99 percent, zero down payment, and a loan tenure up to six years.
BSA Goldstar 650 flaunts a rounded fuel tank with the iconic badge which showcases its British DNA. Some of the other notable features include assist and slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, wire-spoke wheels, tall stance, and a deeply contoured seat. Sitting on a double-cradle chassis, it is powered by a 652cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which belts out top power of 45 bhp and peak torque of 55 Nm while paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
