The 2025 BMW S 1000 R delivers a whooping 168 bhp of maximum power while capable of clocking a top speed of 250 kmph.
BMW Motorrad India has launched the 2025 S 1000 R at a sticker price of Rs 19.90 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country. The roadster will be sold via the CBU route in the Indian market as the official bookings have already started across the company authorized dealerships. The new BMW S 1000 R has been presented in three colour options namely Blackstorm Metallic, Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow (Only with Style Sport) and Lightwhite Uni/M Motorsport (only with M package). Identical to the entire BMW Motorrad range, it too gets a standard warranty for ‘three years, unlimited kilometres’.
Starting with the design, the 2025 BMW S 1000 R flaunts a splitface LED headlight with daytime riding lights and the R logo. The number plate holder, turn indicators and registration plate lights at the rear are integrated into a single unit. In fact, the turn indicator lights also perform the function of brake and taillights. The Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow paint scheme, as part of the Style Sport package, comes with a tinted sport windscreen.

Some of the notable features onboard the roadster motorcycle are Headlight Pro with daytime riding lights, 6.5-inch TFT display with connectivity, Full LED light, Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR), ABS Pro with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), M Quick action throttle, Riding modes (Rain, Road & Dynamic), Hill Start Control, and USB charging socket.
The customers are further given a choice to choose between three optional packages namely Dynamic Package, Comfort Package or M Sport package. While the Dynamic Package offers Dynamic Damping Control, Pro riding modes, shift assistant Pro, and engine spoiler, the Comfort Package comes with Keyless Ride, cruise control, heated grips and tyre pressure control.

Last but not the least, the M Sport Package is available with M Sport seat, M fuel filler cap, M lightweight battery, sports silencer, M Endurance chain, M GPS-Laptrigger and M forged wheels or M Forged wheels. The 6.5-inch TFT display can be paired to the Smartphone via the BMW Motorrad Connectivity App to access practical arrow navigation with route import and multiple waypoint guidance.
At the heart, the 2025 BMW S 1000 R has a 999cc 4-cylinder oil-cooled petrol engine which belts out top power of 168 bhp at 11,000 rpm and highest torque of 114 Nm at 9250 rpm. The new iteration of the roadster offers nearly 5.4 bhp of more power than the previous model. It sprints from 0-100 kmph in merely 3.2 secs before topping out at 250 kmph, which is electronically limited.
Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India said, “The new BMW S 1000 R is where dynamic roadster design meets the heart of a superbike. It is aggressive, agile, engineered for pure performance and is a machine that is as thrilling as it is to look at. With its bold aesthetics, razor sharp precision and adrenaline packed DNA, the ‘Single R’ is built for those who live for the rush. It is not just a motorcycle – it’s a statement.”
