Hero Xtreme 125R Single Seat Launch Price Rs 1 Lakh

Hero Xtreme 125R, right from the time of its launch, was available only with a split-seat setup as standard in the Indian market.

Hero MotoCorp has silently launched the Xtreme 125R with a single seat in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), it is nearly Rs 2000 cheaper than the range-topping variant which comes with a split-seat setup. Hero Xtreme 125R single seat variant has the same price as the top-end trim of the recently launched Glamour X 125. The new variant of the Xtreme 125R will directly challenge the single seat variant of the TVS Raider 125 which comes at a sticker price of Rs 93,865 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The single seat variant is positioned between the base IBS trim and top ABS grade of the Xtreme 125R. It is also offered with a single-channel ABS as standard safety feature. Despite having the same price as the Glamour X 125, the bike misses out on multiple advanced features such as cruise control, ride-by-wire throttle and panic brake alert among others.

Apart from the single-piece seat, the bike remains unchanged and continues to carry the same features. Though the inclusion of a long single seat setup might make the Xtreme 125R appear a bit less sporty, it will definitely up the ante in terms of comfort for the rider as well as pillion during long rides.

Hero Xtreme 125R single seat model will be available in the same three colour schemes as the other two variants in the form of Cobalt Blue, Firestorm Red, and Stallion Black. The suspension duties are carried out by telescopic front forks and hydraulic rear shock absorbers. The stopping power comes from a front disc and a rear drum brake.

Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, Hero Xtreme 125R single seat variant comes with the same frame, swingarm and engine. At the heart, it has the 124.7cc single-cylinder petrol engine which generates max power of 11.4 bhp at 8250 rpm and peak torque of 10.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine is linked to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike is claimed to have a mileage of 66 kmpl.
