Kinetic Green has officially confirmed the launch of the DX electric scooter in the coming couple of months in the Indian market.
Kinetic Green, led by Ms. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, has announced the launch of three high-performance electric scooters in the coming 15-18 months in the Indian market. These e-scooters will be co-developed with Torino Design which is a globally renowned design firm based in Italy. It was also confirmed by the company that the first electric scooter, based on the iconic Kinetic Honda (KiHo) DX, will go on sale in the coming couple of months in the domestic market. The upcoming Kinetic DX electric scooter will be engineered on a unique philosophy called “Thoughtful Engineering”.
Recently, the DX electric scooter was spied testing for the first time on the Indian roads. Now, the brand has officially released the details of its first electric scooter which is said to be a modern reincarnation of the KiHo DX which ruled the Indian streets in 80-90s. Kinetic DX e-scooter will be available with multiple battery pack options while also compatible with fast-charging.

The upcoming Kinetic DX will be presented in a retro theme with TFT display and advanced IoT capabilities. In addition, it will also feature an advanced digital platform which has been developed in partnership with Jio Things. Designed in partnership with Torino Design, the company claims that it will have radical styling based on the Born Electric design philosophy.
Speaking on the announcement, Dr Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, said: “We are truly excited about our upcoming range of Born-Electric scooters from the house of Kinetic Green. With over a decade of experience in the EV space, we have built deep expertise in electric mobility design and engineering, backed by robust EV R&D and strategic partnerships for fast charging, battery swapping, and proprietary software-driven platform solutions.”

Kinetic Green had forayed into the electric two-wheeler segment in 2022. A couple of years later, it brought back the legendary Luna in an all-electric avatar. The Indian e2w market is flourishing at a rapid pace with around 1.15 million units sold in 2024-25. More importantly, 90 percent of these models (1.03 million) were electric scooters.
“Now with our design alliance with Torino Design of Italy, a global leader in design and engineering, we aim to re-define electric scooters in the coming months. With a foundation built on ‘Thoughtful Engineering,’ our upcoming scooters will sport a fresh and futuristic styling language, incorporating innovation and a purpose to offer a delightful ownership experience to our customers,” added Motwani.
