All the five upcoming Honda bikes in India will be manufactured at the brand’s factory in our country with a higher degree of localization
Honda 2-Wheelers recently previewed five all-new motorcycles for the domestic market in India. These included roadsters, cruisers and dual-sport adventure models in the entry-level and middleweight segments. The Japanese brand announced that it will launch these motorcycles in a phase-wise manner within FY27 in the Indian market. Hence, we can expect the 5 upcoming Honda bikes in India to go on sale by March 2027 in the country. Let’s talk about these keenly-awaited motorcycles in detail.
1. Honda Rebel 300
Being the brand’s entry-level cruiser motorcycle, it will come with a bobber-inspired design and low-slung stance. Honda Rebel 300 will be launched in both Standard and E-Clutch variants. Already available in several global markets, the India-spec Honda Rebel 300 will share the 286cc liquid-cooled engine with the CB300R. The cruiser will come with front and rear disc brakes as standard alongside a dual-channel ABS.
Some of the notable features onboard the Rebel 300 will be LED projector headlamp, TFT instrument cluster, Honda RoadSync connected tech, and turn-by-turn navigation. It will have a low saddle height of 690 mm as it tips the weighing scale at 170 kg. The cruiser will be locally manufactured in India and hence, we can expect a pricing around 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom) upon its launch in India.
2. Honda CB500
The roadster will be introduced in three grades namely Alloy, Spoke tubeless and Spoke tubeless with graphics. Honda CB500 will be up against the likes of Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the BSA Gold Star 650 in the Indian market. Honda has made it official that the five upcoming bikes in India, including the CB500, will be made locally for a highly aggressive pricing.
Inspired by the legendary CB750, it will get a plethora of premium and upmarket features in the form of all-LED lighting, semi-digital instrument cluster, front and rear disc brakes, dual-channel ABS and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). The CB500 will be powered by an all-new 501cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine which develops top power of 27 hp and peak torque of 43.3 Nm, while linked to a 5-speed gearbox.
3. Honda Rebel 500
Flaunting a distinctive bobber-inspired design, it will also be available in Standard and E-Clutch variants, similar to the Rebel 300. However, unlike the ongoing model, launched in May 2025 via the CBU route at Rs 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Rebel 500 will be locally manufactured in India and hence, it is likely to get a major drop in price.
The Rebel 500 will be powered by a 471 cc twin cylinder liquid cooled engine which develops top power of 45.6 bhp at 8500 rpm and highest torque of 43.3 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Apart from sharing all the features with the Rebel 300, it will boast of Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) as standard safety feature.
4. Honda XR 300L
Being the brand’s first dual-purpose adventure motorcycle in the entry-level segment, it will come with front and rear disc brakes while a switchable dual-channel ABS will also be offered as standard feature. Honda XR 300L will also get a gas-charged pro-link rear suspension and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). The ADV bike will come fitted with wire-spoke wheels and off-road biased tyres as it is likely to be priced around Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
It will be powered by a 293.5cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine which we have seen in the CB300F. Though the power and torque figures have not been released by the company, we expect the XR 300L to make 24.5 hp and 25.9 Nm. Honda claims that the XR 300L dual-purpose motorcycle is “made for those who live for the thrill of the trail. Mud, gravel, sand or rock.”
5. Honda XR 300 Rally
Inspired by Honda’s rally heritage, it will be rolled out with rally-inspired styling, comfort-oriented equipment and wind protection. The brand states that the XR 300 Rally is “born from Honda’s Dakar-winning rally DNA”. However, unlike the XR 300L which is an out-and-out off-roader for all-terrain riding, the XR 300 Rally is more of an adventure tourer with focus on long-distance trail touring.
Some of the notable features onboard the XR 300 Rally will be front and rear disc brakes, switchable dual-channel ABS, gas-charged pro-link rear suspension, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), and Honda RoadSync. At the heart, it will have the same 293.5cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine as the XR 300L with identical power output and torque performance.
