We have compiled a list of four most affordable electric scooters from leading auto brands in the Indian market
The electric scooter segment is witnessing rapid growth from the last couple of years in the Indian market. This has led to the creation of multiple sub-categories within the electric scooter segment. Recently, we have seen several brands introducing mass-market budget-friendly e-scooters in the country. This highly aggressive pricing is achieved through the roll out of BaaS model as it reduces the upfront cost by a massive extent. Hence, in this piece, we will talk in detail about the 4 electric scooters under Rs 60,000 in India from leading two-wheeler brands.
1. Hero Vida VX2:
Launched in July 2025, Hero Vida VX2 is the most affordable mass-market electric scooter in the Indian market. It is sold at a price tag of Rs 44,990 (ex-showroom) with the BaaS model while without it, the e-scooter costs Rs 73,850 (ex-showroom). The Vida VX2 Go comes with a removable 2.2 kWh battery pack which returns an IDC range of 92 km on a single charge.

The Vida VX2 Go has a top speed of 70 kmph. It takes around 2 hours and 40 mins for a 0-80 percent charge via the conventional 5A socket while only 62 mins is all it takes for the same through the fast charging network of the brand. Some of the notable features onboard the electric scooter are Ride modes (Eco and Ride), 4.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, Ping my scooter, Remote immobilisation, and Reverse parking.
2. TVS Orbiter V1:
TVS rolled out a new variant of the Orbiter electric scooter in the form of V1 with BaaS model at a sticker price of Rs 49,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the country. However, without BaaS, the Orbiter V1 will be retailed at Rs 84,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Equipped with a 1.8 kWh battery pack with an IDC range of 86 km on a full charge, it comes with LED headlamp with visor, coloured LCD cluster, incoming call display, and a connected mobile app.

The Orbiter V1 gets 845 mm long flat-form seat and 290 mm straight-line footboard. The underseat storage capacity stands at 34 litres. It has a quick charging time of around 2 hours and 20 mins for 0-80 percent juice up. The introduction of the BaaS model reduces the upfront pricing of the e-scooter by Rs 34,500. The Orbiter V1 is presented with an extended warranty of up to 5 yrs / 70,000 km.
3. Ampere Reo 80:
Greaves Electric Mobility (GEM) launched the Ampere Reo 80 at an introductory price of Rs 59,900 (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. It went on sale in April 2025 in the country. The low-speed electric scooter is packed with multiple advanced features in the form of Colored LCD Cluster, Front Disc Brake, Keyless Start with Premium Keyfob, and Alloy Wheels.

Ampere Reo 80 is offered in dual-tone sporty colors such as Black, Red, Blue, and White. Equipped with a LFP battery pack, it delivers a range of 80 km on a full charge while the top speed is limited to 25 kmph. The electric scooter can be an ideal choice for first-time EV users, students, elderly riders, and families. It requires no driving license or registration.
4. Komaki X-One:
The X-One range of electric scooters by Komaki is one of the most affordable in the Indian market. Priced between Rs 34,999-59,999 (ex-showroom), these e-scooters boast of a range between 60-150 km, depending on the battery pack. The flagship variant gets a 2.2 kWh lithium battery with a standard warranty of 3 years. Komaki claims that it comes with the highest level of safety in the field of battery technology.

Komaki X-One electric scooters come with a plethora of modern features in the form of Reverse assist, Parking assist, Ride modes (Eco, Sport and Turbo), Anti-theft lock, Mobile charging point, Telescopic front suspension, OTA updates and Lock by Remote. It houses a BLDC hub-mounted electric motor with wireless controller and advanced regen tech.
