31PS RC250 & Duke 250 Introduced in a Not-so-Well Made Video

How many of you think that the KTM 200s ‘feel’ a little underpowered and overpriced when directly compared with their 390s according to the price you pay? And precisely for all of you who raised your hands, KTM has developed the new ‘Two Fifties’ which appear to be tremendous prepositions for many markets.

The AustrianĀ has introduced both the twins in a video which appears to have been shot in Bangkok and features two guys – one on the RC250 and the other on the 250 Duke scorch through the roads only to reach out to a girl waiting for both of them (it seems šŸ˜‰ ) at some cafe. We will let you decide how has the video been done but for sure a few more acrobats could have made for our viewing pleasure…

For your quick reference, both the KTM Two Fifties produce 31.3 PS of peak power and 24 Nm of maximum torque from their short-stroke 248.8 cc single cylinder engines (the engine weighs just 37.2 kg) and are mated to 6-speed gearboxes. The RC weighs 147 kg whereas the Duke tips the scale at 139 kgs.

Both the motorcycles also get Slipper Clutch and twin-channel ABS (the Indian 200s do not get it even as an option) and are shod with Pirelli Diabolo Rosso 2 tyres. KTM has already started production of both these motorcycles in India and let us hope we get a sneak of themĀ in our market as well…
