The 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 has been introduced in a new colour scheme with a hike in price by Rs 15,000 than the outgoing model
Kawasaki India is on a launching spree as it has rolled out multiple bikes with model year updates in the country. The latest to join this bandwagon is the Versys 650, which has been introduced at Rs 8.63 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 will be available in a new dual-tone paint scheme namely Metallic Graphite Gray and Metallic Spark Black. Offered in a single variant, the mid-sized adventure tourer remains exactly the same in terms of design, features, cycle parts and engine specs as the outgoing model.
The 2026 Versys 650 flaunts an all-LED lighting package, be it the headlight, be it the turn indicators or be it the tail-lamp cluster. It boasts of a restyled upper cowl which is inspired by the Versys 1000. Other notable styling elements in the ADV bike include 4-level adjustable windscreen, 17-inch wheels, wide handlebars and upright riding position.
As for features, it is packed with a plethora of bells and whistles to justify the off-road prowess and Rs 8 lakh+ price tag. Some of the prominent ones onboard the adventure tourer are 4.3-inch all-digital TFT colour instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) with 2 modes, Economical Riding Indicator and ABS.

Sitting on a high-tensile tubular diamond steel frame, the 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 has ground clearance of 170 mm. The saddle height is pegged at 845 mm while it tips the weighing scale at 201 kg (dry weight). It has a fuel tank capacity of 21 litres. The wheelbase of the adventure tourer stands at 1415 mm.
The suspension duties are performed by 41 mm adjustable upside-down (USD) front forks and monoshock rear absorber with remote spring preload adjustability. The stopping power comes from 300 mm twin disc units at front and 250 mm single disc brake at the rear. The 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 directly locks horns with Triumph Tiger Sport 660 in India, which is priced at Rs 9.45 lakh (ex-showroom).

At the heart, the 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 houses the 649cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled petrol engine which develops top power of 65.7 bhp at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 61 Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission. As compared to the 2025 model, the engine is now E20 fuel compliant while the power and torque figures are identical.
