Besides the new Ivory colourway with chequered-flag graphics and bold decals, the 2026 Jawa 42 remains the same in terms of features and engine specs
The 2026 Jawa 42 has been launched at a sticker price of Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) in the Indian market. Introduced in a new a pastel Ivory paint shade, it features the signature ‘42’ retro detailing with elements like chequered-flag graphics, bold decals and classic badging further accentuating the modern neo-classic design. Apart from the new colour, Jawa 42 remains the same in terms of aesthetics, features, cycle parts and engine specs while available with a standard warranty of 4-year/50,000-km.
Jawa 42 debuted nearly eight years back in 2018 with design-first silhouette and iconic pastel shades. However, the Ivory colourway has been presented for the first time with the 2026 model. It also flaunts ‘forty-two’ in a vintage font, running across the rear fender and fuel tank. The ’42’ stands for curiosity and a refusal to follow prescription.
Anupam Thareja, co-founder, Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, said, “The Jawa 42 rewrote the classic playbook back in 2018. It showed what the Indian rider could expect from a true neo-classic. With its bold design, performance engineering, safety, and rider-first features, Jawa 42 continues to be an antidote to monotony even to this day. Those who choose a Jawa 42 are stepping back from the noise to craft a story of their own, unhurried by trends, unbothered by curation. We are recognising this mood with the Ivory, a colour that lets riders discover Jawa’s understated cool at their own pace.”

The 2026 Jawa 42 Ivory boasts of a newly-designed side panel which along with the headlight nacelle bears the number 42 in striking contrast. The signature tear-drop fuel tank gets chequered flag graphics. The overall livery is reminiscent of racing bikes of the Isle of Man TT era, which is complemented by an offset instrument console and crisp neo-classic silhouette.
At the heart, the 2026 Jawa 42 has the same 294 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled J-Panther petrol engine which belts out top power of 27 bhp and peak torque of 26.8 Nm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox and assist and slipper (A&S) clutch, which are first-in-segment features. The brand claims that it is up to 40 percent more powerful than other 350cc motorcycles in the category.
