The 2026 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z has been spotted undisguised ahead of its official launch in the Indian market. The flagship model has been updated with the same 5-inch TFT instrument cluster which we saw on the recently launched company bikes such as the Pulsar N160 SS, New-gen Pulsar 125, and Pulsar 150. In fact, the upcoming 2026 Pulsar NS200 and N250 were also sighted with a similar unit. In addition, the upcoming Bajaj adventure bike, likely to have its world premiere a couple of months later in Nov 2026, will also come with the same 5-inch TFT cluster.
Coming back to the 2026 Pulsar NS400Z, the new TFT instrument cluster will support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity while offered with Google Maps mirroring through Smartphone integration. The Android platform users can avail turn-by-turn navigation even when the phone screen in switched off. In addition, the riders have access to message alerts, calls notifications and music controls.
The new TFT cluster also enables the riders to store important vehicle related documents such as RC, Insurance and DL. The company has tweaked the switchgear on the Pulsar NS400Z for smooth functioning of various functions of the TFT cluster. Apart from coloured display and switchgear, the entire motorcycle remains unchanged in terms of colours, design and features.
Just a few months back in April 2026, Bajaj Auto introduced the Pulsar NS400Z with a downsized 350cc engine. It retained the ‘NS400Z’ branding, despite being powered by a 350cc engine which has been developed from the existing 373cc powertrain of the bike. Bajaj Pulsar NS350Z is priced at Rs 1,93,500 which is around Rs 400 less than the price of NS400Z.
Hence, the price cut appeared to be rather minimal despite the GST being lowered from 40 percent to 18 percent due to the inclusion of a sub 350cc engine. The reason that Bajaj has kept the pricing of the NS350Z identical to the NS400Z is that it had earlier absorbed the GST hike without passing it to the buyers. Previously, there used to be a uniform GST on two-wheelers at 28 percent, irrespective of their engine displacement.
However, things changed in Sep 2025 when the Indian government rolled out the GST 2.0 with changes in tax slabs on two-wheelers, depending on the engine capacity. This exercise led to the increased GST on bikes with engine capacity above 350cc from the existing 28 percent to 40 percent and the Pulsar NS400Z was heavily affected by this. However, as an interim measure, Bajaj absorbed this hike and did not pass it on to the buyers.
