2025 Yamaha Aerox 155 S Launch Price Rs 1.53 Lakh – New Colours, Graphics

The 2025 Aerox 155 S is presented in new colours, updated graphics and an OBD-2B compliant engine in the Indian market.

Yamaha India has launched the 2025 Aerox 155 S at a starting price of Rs 1.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the country. It has been introduced in two new colour options namely Racing Blue and Ice Fluo Vermillion. The 2025 Yamaha Aerox 155 S will be sold through the brand’s Blue Square showrooms. The standard version of the Maxi-scooter will be available at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in Metallic Black. Yamaha Aerox 155 will rival the likes of Hero Xoom 160 and Aprilia SXR 160 in the Indian market.

Apart from the two new colour options, the 2025 Yamaha Aerox 155 S flaunts refreshed graphics on the body and side fairings. The maxi-scooter also boasts of a X-shaped centre motif with sleek proportions. Some of the notable features in the 2025 Aerox 155 S include Smart Key, Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

The maxi-scooter gets motorcycle-inspired dual shock rear absorbers as standard. It is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which generates maximum power of 14.7 bhp at 8000 rpm and peak torque of 13.9 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine has been thoroughly updated to meet the latest OBD-2B emission norms, which came into effect from April 1, 2025.

Riding on 14-inch alloy wheels, the 2025 Aerox also gets LED headlamp and tail-lamp, and digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The Japanese two-wheeler brand had updated the Aerox 155 S last year as well with features like keyless ignition and access.

The 2025 Aerox 155 S is slightly more expensive than the outgoing model. In fact the regular variant of the maxi-scooter is also premium by Rs 3,000 over the preceding model. Though, Hero Xoom 160 remains the most economical maxi-scooter in India at a price tag of Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the deliveries of this scooter are yet to start in the domestic market.

Recently, the Japanese automaker launched the hybrid version of the FZ-S Fi in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), it was offered with multiple advanced features such as an airplane-inspired fuel cap, adjustable handlebar, start/stop system and a 4.2-inch fully coloured TFT instrument with Smartphone Bluetooth connectivity through Yamaha Y-Connect app.
