2025 Suzuki GSX-8R Launch Price Rs 9.25 Lakh – OBD-2B Engine

The 2025 Suzuki GSX-8R remains unchanged as far as design, features and hardware are concerned as the only update comes in the form of the engine.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the 2025 GSX-8R at a sticker price of Rs 9.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the country. The superbike remains unchanged in terms of styling and features while the engine has been updated to meet the OBD-2B (On-Board Diagnostics) emission norms. The 2025 Suzuki GSX-8R will be available at the brand’s big bike dealerships in India. It has been offered in three colour schemes namely Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Matte Sword Silver, and Metallic Matte Black No.2 in the Indian market.

Design-wise, the 2025 Suzuki GSX-8R flaunts vertically stacked hexagonal LED headlights, forged aluminium separate handlebars and tall windscreen. It has a mass-forward stance. The suspension duties are carried by Showa-sourced inverted front forks and a link-type mono-shock rear unit with preload adjustment.

The 2025 GSX-8R gets Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) as standard fitment which comprises of multiple advanced rider assist systems such as Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), the Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS), Ride-by-wire Electronic Throttle System, Bi-directional Quick Shift System, Suzuki Easy Start System and Low RPM Assist.

The stopping power comes from dual four-piston radial-mount front brake callipers. The superbike rides on lightweight cast aluminium wheels which are shod with Dunlop RoadSport 2 radial tyres. At the heart, it has the 776cc parallel twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft which is paired to a 6-speed transmission and a Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS).

Suzuki has been gradually updating its entire model line-up with OBD-2B compliant engines. Recently, it introduced the OBD-2B versions of the Avenis, Access and Burgman scooters. The company also rolled out its first-ever electric scooter for India in the form of the e-Access. Suzuki e-Access price will be announced in the coming few days while the deliveries are expected to start shortly post the price reveal.
