The updated Access 125 was spotted recently during its testing in Gurgaon ahead of its apparent debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Jan 2025
Suzuki Motorcycles India has been testing the upcoming 2025 Access 125 for the past few months in the country. Recently, we spotted the new Access 125 during one of its test runs in Gurgaon, Haryana. Suzuki Access 125, India’s number 3 best-seller, is placed in the 125cc segment of scooters which already has a few heavyweights in the form of Honda Activa 125, TVS Jupiter 125, Hero Destini 125 and Yamaha Fascino 125. The new scooter is expected to be launched in the first half of 2025 in the Indian market.
Going by the spy-shots, it appears to be the entry-level variant of the scooter because of the steel wheels and rear single-piece grab rail. The test unit was heavily camouflaged and hence we couldn’t know more about the changes, except for the redesigned exhaust pipe with heat shield and new mudguard. It is pretty much confirmed that top-end trims of the 2025 Suzuki Access will feature disc brakes and alloy wheels. The spied unit flaunts a temporary red number plate at the rear. A few days back, the 2025 Access was spotted alongside Avenis and Burgman Street, which were believed to be the support vehicles.
We have learnt that the 2025 Suzuki Access will boast of a restyled LED headlamp cluster and apron upfront. There will be a storage compartment and round reflector behind the apron. The rear profile will also get subtle tweaks in order to distinguish it from the current version.
As for features, the 2025 Suzuki Access 125 is believed to come with a myriad of bells and whistles in the form of an all-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, boot light, hazard light and USB charging socket. The ongoing model of the scooter rides on a 10-inch rear wheel. However, the 2025 Access 125 is likely to be equipped with a bigger 12-inch wheel.
Mechanically, it will continue to carry the same 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled petrol engine which delivers top power of 8.7 bhp at 6,750 rpm and peak torque of 10 Nm at 5,500 rpm. It will be linked to a CVT automatic gearbox.
The 2025 Suzuki Access 125 price is expected to be higher than the current model which is priced in range of Rs 82,300-93,000 (ex-showroom). It is presently sold in four trims namely Drum, Disc, Special Edition and Ride Connect. Suzuki Access 125 was previously updated nearly 8 years back in 2017 when the BS IV emission norms came into effect in India. So, it has been a lot of time since then and we think an update is essential to keep it alive in the competition.
