2025 KTM RC 200 Gets a New Colour Post Price Hike – Details

The 2025 KTM RC 200 will now be available in a total of three colour options namely Blue, Black and Metallic Grey in the Indian market.

KTM India had increased the prices of its several motorcycle models a few days back in the domestic market. It also included the 2025 KTM RC 200 which witnessed a rise in price by Rs 12,000 – the highest among all the KTM motorcycles. The company was compelled to hike the prices after updating the bikes with the latest OBD-2B compliant engines. Now, we have learnt that the European two-wheeler brand has silently launched a new colour option for the 2025 RC 200 in the form of Metallic Grey. The existing two colours namely Black and Blue have been continued.

The Metallic Grey colour is complemented quite well by a contrasting Orange shade on the chassis and front fairing. The wheels are finished in a black paint scheme unlike the blue colour which features orange coloured wheels. Except for the new colour scheme, there are no visual updates at all in the KTM RC 200 and it continues with the same design elements.

The features and safety equipment is also unchanged. Sitting on a lightweight split-trellis frame, the 2025 KTM RC 200 is equipped with a new bolt-on subframe while powered by a 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which generates maximum power of 24.6 bhp at 10000 rpm and highest torque of 19.2 Nm at 8000 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed transmission.

The fully-faired supersport motorcycle has a ground clearance of 156mm while the saddle height is pegged at 835mm. The fuel tank capacity stands at 13.7 litres. The frame is suspended by WP-sourced USD front forks and a mono shock rear unit with 10-step adjustability. The braking duties will be handled by disc units at both the ends.

Meanwhile, in other news, Bajaj Auto, which has a 49.9 percent stake in KTM, recently made an offer of €800 million (Around 7,778 crore) to revive its operations and working capital cycle. The company has already infused €200 million into the company so far and the balance of €600 million is being done now. Just so you know, KTM owed €548 million (Around Rs 5,324 crore) to its creditors and the deadline for this payment was May 23.

The total acquisition of KTM with this new funding by Bajaj Auto is expected to be complete by May 2026, pending regulatory approval. It has also been learnt that KTM veteran Stefan Pierer is completely exiting from the company leadership in June. We will get more clarity on the future of the brand in the coming days.
