The 2025 Kawasaki Versys 650 gets new colour scheme and a OBD-2B compliant petrol engine while being expensive by Rs 16,000 than its predecessor.
Kawasaki India has launched the 2025 Versys 650 at a sticker price of Rs 7.93 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country. Presented in a new dual-tone paint scheme, it has been equipped with a OBD-2B compliant engine to meet the latest emission norms. The 2025 Kawasaki Versys 650 is nearly Rs 16,000 more expensive than the outgoing model. The Japanese two-wheeler brand has been updating its entire motorcycle line-up to OBD-2B norms in a phased-wise manner. The Versys 650 challenges the likes of Triumph Tiger Sport 660, Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT and CFMoto 650MT in the Indian market.
The 2025 Kawasaki Versys 650 will be available in a single colour namely metallic matte graphenesteel gray. It flaunts a new windscreen for better protection against winds. The upper cowl has been restyled and it takes inspiration from the Versys 1000. Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, the sports bike gets an all-LED lighting setup which includes headlamp & tail lamp units and turn indicators as well.
The 2025 Versys 650 boasts of a new 4.3-inch fully-colored digital TFT instrument cluster with Smartphone connectivity through RIDEOLOGY THE APP using Bluetooth. The rider gets access to an array of vehicle info such as odometer, fuel gauge, maintenance schedule, gear position and rpm. Further, the riders also receive call and mail notifications on the instrument panel.
Some of the notable features in the bike include upright riding position, wider handlebar, long-travel suspension setup. KTRC (Kawasaki TRaction Control) with two ride modes is also offered as standard feature with the bike. Kawasaki has also introduced a Economical Riding Indicator which appears on the TFT screen when fuel consumption is low during the ride.
The 2025 Kawasaki Versys 650 is equipped with KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System) which works in accordance with the K-ACT (Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology). The braking duties are helmed by 300 mm twin disc units at front and a 250 mm single disc unit at the rear. The saddle height is pegged at 845 mm while the ground clearance is 170 mm.
Sitting on a tubular diamond frame, the 2025 Versys 650 is powered by a OBD-2B compliant 649cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine which churns out 66 bhp at 8500 rpm and 61 Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch.
