2025 Hero Mavrick 440 Clear Pics Emerge, Launch Soon

The Mavrick 440 is poised to make a comeback in the Indian market in the next few days, albeit with modern, premium and upmarket features

We earlier told you that Hero MotoCorp has silently discontinued its flagship model, the Mavrick 440, from the Indian market. The reason behind phasing out the roadster bike, based on Harley-Davidson X440, was believed to be poor sales numbers. However, recently, an updated version of the motorcycle was spotted undisguised with modern features during its TVC shoot. Hence, it is highly expected that the 2025 Hero Mavrick 440 is being readied for a launch in the coming few days in the Indian market.

The spy images reveal that the 2025 Hero Mavrick 440 will come equipped with golden-coloured USD front forks instead of the telescopic suspension available with the present model. In addition, it was spotted in a new matte grey colour with bronze/copper engine cover as compared to the black coloured unit of the outgoing version.

These two major updates on the 2025 Mavrick 440 resemble the model showcased at the EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy. However, the roadster unveiled at the event last year was also packed with a TFT display which was a direct lift off from the Harley-Davidson X440. But, since these images were clicked from far away, it cannot be ascertained whether or not the unit caught on camera has the TFT display.

Hero Mavrick 440 was launched in February 2024 and it lasted for around 18 months before the brand finally pulled the plug. It was introduced in three trims namely Base, Mid and Top in a price range of Rs 1.99-2.24 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Hero had deliberately priced it lower than the X440 by axing multiple premium features from the bike.

However, this strategy of omitting premium features such as TFT dash, USD forks and matte finish among others backfired for the brand and the Mavrick 440 barely found any takers. Hence, in what appears to be a course correction, Hero has installed all these missing features in the 2025 Mavrick 440 and could launch it anytime soon in the Indian market.

At the heart, it would continue to use the existing 440cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled petrol engine which develops top power of 27 bhp and peak torque of 36 Nm while linked to a 6-speed gearbox. Sitting on a trellis frame, the 2025 Hero Mavrick 440 gets disc brakes at both the ends along with a dual-channel ABS. It rides on 17-inch spoke wheels for the base trim while the mid and top grades boast of 17-inch alloys.
