Ather Energy has introduced several modern and advanced features in the 2025 Rizta Z and 450 Apex range for its existing customers as well.
Ather Energy has launched the 2025 Rizta and Apex 450 with new features at its Annual Community Day 2025 in Bengaluru. While the 2025 Ather 450 Apex gets Infinite Cruise features, the brand’s in-house developed cruise control system, the 2025 Ather Rizta Z gets multiple new features and a new paint scheme. The company also revealed the next-gen Ather Grid charging system with faster charging time and improved performance. Apart from this, the Bengaluru-based EV-only brand also showcased a couple of electric concepts at the events.
First things first, the 2025 Ather 450 Apex will now come with Infinite Cruise with three modes namely CityCruise, Hill Control, and Crawl Control. The CityCruise can be activated at the highways with speed of up to 90 kmph without disengaging when the rider brakes or changes speed. On the other hand, the Hill Control mode can be used to manage inclines while ensuring seamless torque delivery during uphill climbs.
The Hill Control mode works in accordance with the Magic Braking Algorithm (which powers Magic TwistTM) for downhill descents. Last but not the least, the Crawl Control is designed for low-speed commute through uneven roads at speeds as low as 10 kmph. This mode is equipped with Multimode Traction Control to extend stability on slippery terrains.
Coming to the 2025 Ather Rizta Z, it gains a new dual-tone colour option in the form of Terracotta Red with Super Matte. The e-scooter will now boast of a restyled user interface (UI) along with a new Eco mode. Further, all the existing buyers will receive an OTA update which will enable full touchscreen functionality. In the coming few weeks, it will be extended to all the customers through an OTA update along with the Eco Mode.
Talking about the next-gen Ather Grid fast chargers, the brand claims that it now charges Ather electric scooters at double speeds than the previous-gen chargers. The new 6 kW charger is compact and slim in size as it is capable of adding 30 km range in merely 10 mins. The next-gen Ather fast chargers will also be equipped with a built-in tyre inflator to tackle low pressure and increase range.
Presently, besides its own range of electric scooters, the Ather Grid fast charging network is used by a couple of other electric two-wheelers brands as well in the form of Hero Vida and Matter.
