The 2025 Ather 450 has been introduced with new colour schemes, advanced features and higher range on a single charge
Ather Energy has launched the 450 range of electric scooters with MY2025 update at a starting price of Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The 2025 Ather 450 is packed with new features in the form of multi mode traction control and Magic Twist while the range has also been extended. The bookings and test rides for the new electric scooters have started across the country. Ather 450 series comprises of three scooters namely 450S, 450X and 450 Apex while the Ather Rizta is available in two variants: Rizta Z and Rizta S.
Starting with the new features, the multi-mode traction control offers three riding modes: Rain Mode, Road Mode and Rally Mode. The 2025 Ather 450 scooters will now ride on MRF Zapper N e-tred tyres. The TrueRange of select variants namely Ather 450X 3.7 kWh (IDC Range 161 kms) and 450 Apex (IDC Range 157 kms) has been extended to 130 km. In fact, the 2025 450X 2.9 kWh (IDC Range 126 kms) and 2025 Ather 450S (IDC Range 122 kms) will now deliver a TrueRange of 105 km.
Ravneet S Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy said, “The Ather 450 has been designed with performance at its core. Over the years we have been focusing on improving performance of the 450 product lineup even further through continuous improvements in both software and hardware. Now, with the 2025 Ather 450, we are improving the safety of the scooters with features like multi-mode traction control which is typically found in high end motorcycles. This feature allows the rider to adapt to different road conditions with better control and stability.”
The range extension has been possible due to the introduction of Magic Twist feature in these variants. For those asking, Magic Twist debuted with the Ather 450 Apex and later it made its way to the Rizta range of e-scooter last year. The 2025 Ather 450 series gets the latest version of Ather’s software engine in the form of AtherStack 6 which is packed with a plethora of features such as Alexa, Google Maps, WhatsApp Alerts, Ping My Scooter and Live location sharing. The Bengaluru-based EV start-up has also presented two new colour options with the 2025 450 range – Hyper Sand and Stealth Blue. The buyers of the range-topping Apex 450 trim will now be provided Ather’s smart helmet Halo as standard. The entire range of 2025 Ather 450 now boasts of the new Eight70 warranty pack which gives coverage of 8 years or 80,000 km, whichever is earlier. In addition, 70 percent battery health assurance of up to 8 years is taken care of.
“We are also introducing MagicTwist on the 450X after introducing it on the 450 Apex and the Rizta. We expect that these latest updates will offer a much improved riding experience to scooter enthusiasts across the country,” added Phokela.
